Hey ladies (and guys),
question for all of you. what is your opinion about link exchanges? I have a web page i'm working on and was curious as I know that it's one way of advertising (i'm learning the art of doing this even though it's not my best thing to do)

Well I have read that it can be a good thing. Go with other site that are along the same lines as your. From what I understand. For example if you sell candles you probably should not link to a site that sells collectibles.
Ask this at the business tips forums you will probably get more answers since many there are into affiliate marketing and really use this technique. good luck

Links with other related sites are excellent. The more links you have
in the better. There are ways like article writing and posting to blogs
that are good too.

targeted traffic.
