I have been talking to my best friend about Arbonne. We have discussed it over and over again. She really made me think about something for people who may not have all the money to invest into Arbonne but have the heart to do it. Where do they start? I had her listen in on a conference call 3 nights ago and it was very informative, but she listened to the ladies who were making all of this money from Arbonne and she said that they made it sound really easy when it's not. She's been in skincare industry before and she said that it's not as easy as booking a party. What about the supplies. These were women that had money already to support and invest into their business to get them to the top. What about the women who do not have a job, who may only have enough money for their bills, etc? How can they get all of the supplies to do a party because if you are going to book parties people are going to want to try the products first? She said that it's not as easy as people are making it seem.
She asked me all of these different questions and they made sense to me. I couldn't answer a single one. But for those of you who started at the bottom with limited or no income, how did you do it? Seriously. What would you all say to a women or man who doesn't have money to put in the business?

I started I was in debt. I think the best is when I listened to Cecilla Stoll at this years NTC. She talked about making $17. It was the world to her. She had nothing. She had come over from Brazil. I love listening to her. When I started I brought what I could.. I started not with Re9 sets but one basic N/Dry set. I couldn't buy the other yet. I didn't even have catalogs. I worked with what I had and brought what I could when I could. Now I have a couple Re9s laying around (I was doing the Puppy dog. If she wants to make money she will find the money. I put a lot on credit cards in the beginning. My husband knew it was worth it. Just my thoughts. Also how many people go and buy something online that they never have tried. I watch people buy skin care on QVC or Home shopping Network with out trying it. If she doesn't believe in the product then no one else will. It has a 45 day guarentee if that line doesn't work for them... we have others. Anyone else??? smileys/smiley36.gif

I'm trying to get my friend to join but she won't because she doesn't have money to invest. She had a career but was diagnoses with a brain tumor but is doing well. You would never know she had one. Her doctor doesn't want her to go back to work but she needs money. Now, she does have a working husband but he doesn't want her taking chances. So, she stated that she wanted to hear from women like her who don't have anything, she called it "Real Women."
I would also like to hear some real women stories so that I can go back and share them with her. I even offered to pay for her sign up fee but her husband said no.

There is always an investment in any business, both time & money. A person can start with very little but understand that it may take a little longer to get rolling. In the early stages most of yourearnings go back into your business to get those samples, catalogs, puppies, etc. The wonderful thing about your business is that it is yours and you tailor it to your situation. A bigger concern as I read your post would be whether or not her spouse will support her in the endeavor. This is not absolutely necessary, but extremely helpful. Just my .02 for what its worth.

I was with another company and it was way worse. I didn't get anything to get 25 catalogs it was $33. So to me everything here is priced just fine. If you can't invest a lot, invest what you can till you start making more. If people aren't buying and signing you won't ever make more. It also depends on how you work the biz. I have a girl who sold almost $1000, before even getting her green starter kit. She didn't have anything but the sample pack she started with when I gave it to her. Which I bought from my upline. We did a big group order to bring down the price. Talk to your upline they have ideas. Also If the ladies husband won't let you pay for the sign up he just doesn't want her to do it and money is not a problem most likely. Just some thought.

I have to agree with dk's post. The girl who she knows that sold the $1000 w/o product obviously had drive. As I was typing my earlier repsonse I was thinking how some folks have the $$ but not the time or drive and that it is very possible for someone who starts with less $$ but more drive could race past someone withmore $$ invested and less drive.
As frustrated as I am with the order backlog right now, I truly do love the products and philosophy of this company. I believe that anyone who puts their time and effort into it can succeed aboveeven their own expectations.Edited by: Kiana's Mom

Wow...after reading a lot of the Arbonne posts, I realize how fortunate I am to have a great upline.
I started with the $29 investment. My girlfriend brought me in under her and as ALL the info on supporting your Business Builder states, shewent to my first 3 parties. She brought everything. With each party order I was able to keep the Right Now Money and used that combined with the $20for $100 to purchase someof my things and by getting some of the free products, I was able to to my 4th party by myself. Even with the ReSults Sets, she lent me one to give out.Even now, ourteam gets together anddecideds what samples we should buy and we split the cost.
It can be done with minimal money if you have the support of your upline.

sweatpea, my RVP started with 10 catalogues, the only product she had was the normal/oily set she was using. She wouldn't even let the clients keep the catalogues in the beginning, that's how little money she had to invest. Granted, it took her longer (16 months) than some others who do have the money to invest BUT I think that just made getting the 'reward' sweeter!
There are several EOA's regarding this- Cecelia Stohl is my favorite!

I just started in this business as well...I just got my products the other day. I truly didn't have the money to invest, but I scrounged the money hoping for a quick turn over.
It's my goal to Jump off the wagon running and keep running. I know I needed some product to use so I could talk intelligently about the product and I neede a "pup" set to give out to my 1st prospect. I'm going to place that "pup" today. I've already talked to 2 possible recruits (sponsors). I have just made up my mind that I am going to do it, and I AM GOING TO DO IT!!!
Your friend needs NOW money.......she needs to turn some "pups" quickly and get some WB's on board. But she needs to understand that our business is built on finding team members and building on that.
Have you read "the 45 second presentation" book? Enlightening!

Iam glad to have read this post. I just started Arbonne last month and have gotten several people to order products just out of the catalog. But my DM is pushing me to order PUPS. I went ahead an ordered one put the only person I have sent it to so far is my mother. I have shown other people how confident I am in the products as well as telling them about the 45 day guarantee and I have had several people order. I feel like I have other people who would be interested in the biz but not anybody that can afford to buy 4 PUPS like my upline wants and I do not feel comfortable pushing them to do so.I also like to let people read some of the emails I have gotten such as Apprehensions People Have About the Business etc but she doesnt want me to do that either. I feel that it shows them that they are not the only people that feel that way. She says that we need to do exactly as our upline has. They may have done well that way but I feel like I have a different situation as need to do it my way. I do better if I can read information b/c I want to know what I am getting myself into. A girl that has been trying some of the products loves them and has already sold some to the girls at the credit union just out of the catalog. Does anybody else feel that the PUP is not for everybody? I really feel like I can do well with out having to push them that hard. Am I the only one?

I hand out RE9 sample packs and people are interested from just sampling the products because they are great. I do have one RE9 set that I take along to show the actual product size and to demonstrate how little of the product they need to use. I do what works for me. I don't have a lot of extra money to invest.

The key is the follow up appointment that is made to close the sale and to get the fullsized bottles back. With sample packs, people tend to just hand them out with no set time for "pickup" since there is nothing to "pickup". UNLESS, you put it in the Gold Bag! The RE9 samples, any other samples, ArbonneNOW cd and brochure, and a couple EOA's, heck- you could even throw in a Daily Detox tea bag or two! smileys/smiley36.gif

I started my buisness about 3 weeks ago I worked a MLM company before and went no where..with arbonne I borrowed money to order my sets and I'm paying the person back with each party because people do like to touch and feel....but I have heard of people ordering Sample sets of Re9 and doing the REsults Approach that way adn it is working well for them!
Having a Great team and support system is A HUGE part of a successful buisness too..

SweetPea,
If your girlfriend has the sincere desire to change her life and begin her Arbonne Career then she needs to get active. You and your upline should be able to provide her with "show" product her first couple shows (as her upline you would be launching her). With the money from these shows, whether she is doing some $100 for $20's or makes enough to take an RSVP package - she should be able to accumulate some of her own product. However, your friend MUST book parties. If she does not have the money to invest, she needs to book 10 parties today.
I truly believe Arbonne can be a successful business for anyone who WANTS it. If you don't have the money, then ask for help. Your upline should be attached to your hip for 30 days, helping you to get your feet wet, but you must WANT it. Good Luck to everyone and their teams.

I havebeen signed up for 3weeks.I'm still learning the business. I haveoffered to supportherin anyway possible, even sharing my sales with her until she hasenough money to start. In the beginning we both made the decision to join Arbonne togetherunder another sponsor. In the beginning I didn't know what sponsoring was. Do you understand?I even offered to pay her sign up fee. Please do not tell me what my job is because you have no idea what I have done or tried to do. We were suppose to be in this together.
Her heart is not in it from what I can see and I'm not asking her anymore.

Oh, and since the time I signed on, I have barely had any contact from my (sponsor) upline. They are not attached to the hip. In the beginning I had no catalogs or anything, and I asked for help. No one helped me. I think the amount of help you getdepends on who you get.
