It looks like a Head Consultant may have been found for El Paso, Tx. Still looking for Head Consultants in Dallas, Amarillo, Austin, Houston, Laredo and Tyler...It's known that a lot of candle companies don't make it but what if this one does and you are one of its pioneers...

P.S. The policies outlined on the "Sales Consultant" page of the website are for regular consultants not the ones that will head their indiviual city.Edited by: Luminarias

Yes, you are right. Our research and business plan was done before we went into business in 2005. It's the reason we are starting off with only 20 regular consultants and 7 Head Consultants. That leaves us free to continue expanding our line and to support our ladies in anyway is needed.

Hey there,

I saw your post...great idea! I wanted to let you know that I am all settled in my new place!!! I was burning "Aloha" and "Spa Day" in the bedroom and bathroom and I already feel like I am home. Guess what I did? I gave the movers a gift bag with two of our 3ounces plus my business card. I got an email this morning from one of the mover's girlfriend. She is interested in getting more info and I invited her to the party I am hosting with Jennifer on the 24th. Anyways, that my news. Thanks again for everything!!!! Oh, Happy Valentine's day!!!

If anyone from Dallas is interested please contact us for more detailed information! And even if we don't find a Head Consultant for the Dallas area at this time, this forum has been a wonderful tool!

Hey Pretty Lady,

You are so right, this is a great forum!!! Hey, I didn't know that you were looking for a consultant in the Big D! Do you know how many ladies I know from there!!! In fact, remember Debra who ordered the case of "Little Pumpkins Everywhere", she'd be my first choice. I'll call her and I'll call you...or I'll call you and then call her...we'll talk.

PS. "LPE" should be a signature scent not seasonal...that's just my two cents(scents...hahahaha).

Ok, so I love candles. But I can't seem to find what these candles are made of and I want a really clean burning one. I love the one I got from MQ that was soy and the scent is pomegranate. Pomegranate candles seem to be hard to find. Anything in the line that has pomegranate?

Luminarias

Sorry no pomegranate...and no soy either. I am sure the one from MQ was wonderful and I hope you are able to find a suitable alternative.

Luminarias

Luminarias currently pays on six levels to Texas consultants. As for what our candles are made from, we use a paraffin blend. Our blend gives us a wonderful cold and warm throw, little to no soot if wick is trimmed and a completely clean jar. These characteristics are really common in most candles whose candlemakers use quality products; so where we try to differ is with our aromas and packaging. We consider our aromas unique using multiple scents that one does not usually find toghether and we paired that with a classic jar with a simple yet modern label.
Thank you for the inquiry~Edited by: Luminarias

I recieved two samples; Romeo& Juliet and the other was Merlot. They really were awesome!! I got the 3 oz size and the scent throw was nice and strong, which did surprise me coming out of that cute jar!

That is so aweome to hear...the other scent was "Blackberry Merlot" which is my current favorite ~ it's a blackerry aroma with hints of sage and black tea leaves.

I live on Padre Island which is right near Corpus Christi. Mel and Jennifer live in CC ~ Jen is Michelle's sister(creater of Luminarias) and she is our Head Consultant. Mel just moved back here from Sugarland. It's neat to come across other ladies in other cities selling Luminarias candles. I am the type of person who would not ever sell anything, but I made the exception when Jen mentioned about a year ago that they wanted to direct sale their collection. I had already been a customer and I knew it would be wise to get involved at the beginning because these gems sell themselves!

Missy,

I didn't realize you are in Houston! I just moved from there last June. Congratulations on being the Head Consultant there! How awesome!

I love that this candle line is NOT in apothecary jars. (Those look so old-fashioned, IMO). These jars are more stylish, and the names are too cute!smileys/smiley32.gif

(Thanks for keeping AJU products in mind! smileys/smiley4.gifI'm loving them, and having theSan Antoniomarket all to myself at the moment is too cool.)

MSBUTRFLY
02-23-2007, 02:23 PM
You know Melissa, I agree with you regarding NOT liking the apothecary jars...they are old-fashioned looking, which is not necessarily bad, but I am personally just tired of that look.

missyroth
02-23-2007, 02:41 PM
Well, UPS boy came today!! My whole family has smelled everything and put their votes in for faves. Out of the 25, there are only about 5 that are not for me, but I know someone else will love them. They're in NO way bad, just not my types. The other 20 fall into the "Hey, that's nice" category (3 scents)to "Wow! I want to burn them all right now" category (17). Not bad ratios if you ask me. smileys/smiley2.gif And yes, the jars have a classier look than apothecary!!!

I love, love, love that this biz in based in TX and the more I say that, the more I realize I just love my state!

My Little Buttercup is quickly becoming my favorite because of the song from The Three Amigos. If you haven't heard it, you can look it up on You Tube. It's a catchy little song.

Hello all,

I had posted under another topic regarding my weekend party, but thought I should post here too. Well, my candle gathering went very well...over 30 guests showed up. I served wine and an assortment of cheese and burned "Monarch" because I thought it went with the mood of the evening. I did very, very well...and even better, I emailed my order in that night(Saturday...actually it was early Sunday)...andmy order hasalready been shipped and I will receive tomorrow! Lucky for me I am off on Wednesdays, so I'll be delivering all day.

Until next time,

I saw Jennifer this morning at Spohn and she and I both had our Luminarias totes...we looked so cute. Anyhoo, I was able to bribe her into letting my buy two Teasers. I just wanted to say that I love them too. I got Midnight Tea and Romeo & Juliet(which is my current favorite scent).

Also, I sold over $100.00 in about 5 minutes at Club Manor and I will be at The Bay today and should sell that if not more!!! And, I hear we landed our first retail shop!smileys/smiley32.gif

It's me again

I wanted to give an update. Earlier I stopped by an apartment complex that purchases candles from me as "Welcome Home" gifts. Well, they had another order and as a Thank you I told Tracey the manager, she could have one of my new Teasers. Of course she would pick Romeo & Juliet. I was gone for about 10 minutes when I realized I left my cellphone behind. When I walked back into the main office(which is huge) I could smell my favorite scent. I had mentioned to Tracey that it could be put on a warmer and she had one in her desk. I could not believe that little thing had some much scent throw.

I know Jen said they were to be "sales tools" but I will not have a problem selling these as well.

Thanks
