OK, I love to scrapbook, and have never tried stamping, but it looks liek something I might want to try. MY question is this...what are the differences between CTMH and Stampin' up!? Are the stamps different? Do either sell scrapbooking supplies as well? Like I said, I am a complete novice but I think it looks like something I would enjoy. I've visited both websites, but I'm still confused. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Stampin UP stamps come apart..you have to cut out your stamps and fit to the wood blocks. The stamps are adhesived, so you can stick to the blocks very easily.
CTMH stamps are now acrylic. They come on this sheet and you just peel each stamp off the sheet, add to the acrylic block, stamp, clean it , peel off and add back to the sheet. Those are great cause you can see where you are stamping too.
Everyone has their personal perference on what kind of stamps they like. I like both companies. They all don't offer the same exact stamp/style so I tend to buy both.
Both do sell scrapbook stuff also.

Hi there! I'm sure robbieandlauren has already answered your questions via e-mail, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents. :)
I am not familiar with CTMH at all (thanks for the info, Mary!), but I am learning a lot about Stampin' Up! as a new demonstrator. The Idea Book & Catalogue has great pictures of sample scrapbook pages as well as other projects, including a list of products used. I would love to send you a catalog if you are interested! They're normally $10 each, but I have an extra I could send for free if you want it.

I can't compare the companies because I don't know a lot about CTMH but I was a demo for SU for a while. I think they're stuff is awesome! While I agree that the acrylic thing is cool I still like the wood blocks for some odd reason. I also never minded trimming my own stamps. I got so good at it that I ended up doing that for new customers as an incentive (just one set though if they also bought the scissors.)
It was pretty easy to sell actually and had really good discounts. I think they have the best hostess benefits too, but that's just my opinion!
hope that helps you
