Hi all.

I was wondering if you have to get a sales tax license for White Lilly Candles or does the company report the tax? I have thought of joining this co for a while and that was one of the questions I had. Pm me with details is fine.

Thank you.

Right now WLC does not report the tax, but they are still working on taking that over for the reps. It's the same question I've been asking for two years, also! smileys/smiley2.gif

I just asked on progress with this but it will be awhile, not sure when.

I have to say, it is not hard to do. I was VERY nervous about it when I started but was surprised how easy it is. Now, it's free here in NJ to get a tax license, not sure about other areas.

It has been worth it for me as my customer base has been growing this last year and now receive many reorders. My customers are addicted!smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley4.gif

I would also like to add to its very expensive for companies to pay sales tax for its reps, but maybe down the road White Lily Candles will offer this in the future.smileys/smiley1.gifI agree Michelle my customer base is slowly growing as well, since I am still a new consultant.

How is it expensive? Do they have to pay for some sort of business license for each state? The tax itself would come from customer purchases and then be remitted. It doesn't cost the rep anything to submit tax does it?

Not being confrontational,smileys/smiley2.gif just asking because I've never had to before. All of my companies did the tax for me.

I've chatted with the owners regarding sales tax, because it's been asked to me. With all of their research you as a company have to register with 300 different juridictions to comply with state, city and township laws. After that, they would need to purchase a software program so that the correct amount of tax is collected and where to send it. They are continuing to look into programs." It's much easier for each consultant to do sales tax at this time, most states do not charge for the ID and alot of them you can do everything online which makes it even easier.I hope this helps! If not you can always email Angela and I am sure she would be happy to chat with you about it.

The free sign up was nice! However it is hard to start

a business(especially candles) with no samples for customers to smell.
