Hi,

Try eBay Wholesale (http://books.listings.ebay.com/Wholesale-Bulk-Lots_W0QQfromZR13QQsacatZ29399QQsocmdZListingItemL istQQfclZ3QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ3) for book lots and then browse for the Powersellers in this category. They will have more inventory. Other than that check Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22book+distributor%22) for companies.

Do books do well on ebay?

I'm just starting out as a seller but really concerned about shipping costs etc. and wonder if its worth it, or if there is a better place to sell them?

First, Loreena, you don't pay for shipping the customer does...unless you decide to offer FREE shipping. But even in these cases, sellers mark up the purchase price tocover this expense.

Books do sell on eBay, but there are other sites that do a better job of attracting customers for this product...Amazon & Half.com for example. However as a result of this traffic, their listing & final value fees are higher.

I'm in canada so I can't sell on half.com, and amazon looks like a difficult place to compete.

Has anyone ever tried just selling books off of their own page?
