What's more fun and profitable in your opinion?

Making and selling your candles or making and selling soaps and bath and body products??

Which one seems to be the clear winner or are they about the same?

I personally enjoy doing both. smileys/smiley1.gif

I also enjoy doing both, but my b&b does way better than my candles. Candles seem to have a "season" while B&B does well all year long.

Then Xmas comes and everything flies off the shelves.

Hi Kristine,

That is what I was thinking.. that the b and b would be more profitable.

It really depends on your product though. If you'd been at the craft show I was at on Saturday, then yes B&B would have been more profitable. I was on a hunt for soaps and there was only ONE person selling them - not much for selection!

Way back when I sold a variety of items including candles and B&B (neither of which were mine). Since the candles sold better for me, I built a niche site for them and sold the other site and inventory. When my supplier stopped selling wholesale is when we started making them ourselves (nearly 2 years ago).

So for me I found the candles sold the best, but this may not be the case for everyone. Personally I like to keep my focus on one item and that's what works for me, while others are better at offering a variety. smileys/smiley2.gif

This post is very intriging to me. I have always been into candles. Never much cared about soaps and things until a few years ago. So it is interesting that some of you feel that bath and body would be more profitable.

In love and grace~
