....once you have been with a company, but then decide to switch (for whatever reason) how do you build your credibility again? I mean, it's not very professional looking to keep switching companies, right? So how do you establish your credibility again with your friends, family and past customers? What do you say to people?

I can completely understand the reasoning behind switching companies. Not every company isa good fit for every person and like someone else said, you don't know it until you are in the thick of it. But, I don't think the "outside" world understands when they seeus switching from one company to another trying to find the "right" one and that is the hardest part for me...trying to explain that to people.

I remember being concerened about this once but so many people responded in a positive way. I thought people would think I wascrazy, but instead they thought it was great that I was doing what I want to do.

Family, friends, and customers have access to direct sales products whether it's through me or someone else. If they want something they can always get it. It's not like they never have access to the product again. If I didn't switch companies, I would not have found what my customers really want.

I imagine the difficult part in switching would be if you haverecruited other people. Edited by: LorettaA

At this point, my friends just accept that as who I am. I am an expert on party plans in general because I have done several. They have been supportive--hey, it's variety for them too! I just added Urban Botanic and they are all excited about this one!

Great question, Becky!

When I switched from my first company everyone was surprised because I had a loyal following of customers. I just told them it was a better fit for me...and the people who knew me completely understood. I continued to take orders from my "old" customers and then had fun referring them to other consultants for parties, etc...

I was really stressed about my switch, but it was easier than I thought. Sometimes you need to swallow some pride..but you need to do what's best for you, not necessarily what "looks" the best on the outside.

I have switched and my family and friends never saw anything wrong with that.smileys/smiley2.gifThey felt the same way as I do.Its hard for me to find the fit that I am looking for and I am still working on it.smileys/smiley19.gifWhen it all comes down to it,you have to do whats best for you and your situation.JMO.

That’s a good question and one I ask myself. It’s also why I do not always tell my friends or family if I am doing something new until I am sure I want to do it. Most of my friends know that I am still looking so it’s no big deal. :)

Great question and answers! I haven't really switched companies...I've just added to compliment each of them.

I haven't switched, but I keep adding more companies. My family and friends think it's neat and get excited to see what new things I've got for them.
