I dropped to Associate level because my COTMs are stacking up, and I'm not selling any.

Is it still possible to build a business at the Associate level, or is
that more for just getting a discount on products for personal
consumption?

PS I so admire those of you who are able to grab this by the tail and
run with it! I haven't managed to do that yet. I'd LOVE for this to
work for me, but it hasn't yet...

Hi Becky,

Of course you can still build a business. You just can't get the products at wholesale. Have you tried taking your products to your job? Do you belong to a group or do you go to a place of worship? I find that once people smell the delicious scents they want more! As a matter of fact some of the people on my job are asking me when I will be getting my order in! They want me to call them as soon as I have their product!

I have just started but I know that it is just a matter for me to get inventory and get the word out and my business will grow!

I think now is a great time to get your stock out there for the holiday season. People can give them out as gifts or for personal use. I think the votives make great stocking stuffers or maybe a Hanukah gift! Just like I read somewhere it's as easy as sell and smell! Good luck!

What do you mean you can't get the products at wholesale ?? I am an Associate distributor, I buy the jar candles for $13.00, and sell them for $18.95. Thus, making $5.95 profit on each candle. Am I doing something wrong ??!!! Help !!! Please enlighten me on the wholesale thing. (are you maybe referring to the fact that as a COTM distrubutor, you are only paying $9.00 for the jars - is that the wholesale amount ??)smileys/smiley18.gif

I am pretty sure that is what she meant.COTM members and Associates can buy at wholesale. We (COTM members) just get a better deal as we buy our candles at $9.00 a jar but $13.00 a jar is nice too! smileys/smiley2.gif

With "building a business" if you mean having a downline as well, you are limited in the amount of commissions you will receive as an associate.

You will only make 5% of your personal recruits and NO comissions on their personal recruits.

If you really want to build the business, the COTM is designed for the maximum benefit.

Ditto what Jennifer said. If you are wanting to build a downline, you need to be a COTM so you can benefit from the levels.
