Now if I can figure out what I want...I think I would really want is something that my DH knows I like-rather than something that seems like it didnt take any thought at all. I have no particular xmas wishlist. We have stopped giving presents years ago to each other. Why do we have to just give, because it's xmas??? I really don't like the commercial aspect of xmas anymore. We celebrate each other throughout the year with lovely things and in fact my hubby just bought himself a flat screen TV which he meant to have for years. So thats more than enough I think.


It's more important to have love and friendship then having tons of pressies in my eyes.

I don't know about anyone here, but I like to play an occasional video game or two when I'm trying to relax. I have an xbox, and I just like to chill out and play it sometimes for a little while in the evenings. I would like a new game for that for Christmas.


I also like money, just because I can spend it exactly how I want to, but I'd still rather get presents, because it's more of the Christmas spirit, and it makes me feel better to get presents than to get just money.

What I want for Christmas is for all I know and love to be happy, healthy. I would love to be debtfree, but I would rather be happy and have my health. I can live with the debt, but if you don't have your health.....well...........need I say more?

Hi I am from the Netherlands and we celebrate St. Nicolas on the 5th of December. We give eachother gifts then and with Christmas we just come together with family to have a good meal and enjoy eachothers company.


My wish for the 5th of December is: yoga dvd,several books like aura-reading, colour therapy, hand-reading, massage etc.

It is very hard for me to know what I want for any occassion not just Christmas. I think this is true of most women, we are givers by nature. Also in my era it wasn't cool to "want" anything. Finding a way to climb out of debt would be very nice and a big relief!


I agree that health and happiness are most important, but debt is one of those things that can greatly affect health and happiness....so being debt free would make me much more healthy and happy!


And, of course...spending time with family and friends....there's not much physical/material things I want.....can't afford them anyway!

I am already thankful to be debt free and healthy. I would like a new watch. I am already going to Las Vegas for Christmas, and staying at the Ex Caliber. I am going to take alot of extra money with me due to some very large sales I have been blessed to make.

I'm thinking I would like a laptop with wireless capability - it would help me market my business during down times at soccer practices, etc. so that NEXT year we can get more fun stuff/give more fu stuff away.

I know this is cheesy, but I just want my husband home and healthy with us again. He's been really sick for a few weeks, and as of yesterday, is back in the hospital. Just getting hard to handle anymore.


I need to vent. Couple weeks ago he got a collapsed lung. Ended up having to get part of his lung removed. Just came home last week. Friday he developed symptoms of a blood clot in his leg. Went to the ER, they did an ultrasound, and didn't find anything. Kept getting worse over the weekend.


Called our Primary Care Doc Monday, they said ultrasounds are never wrong, if there was something there, it would have shown up, and there was no reason for him to be seen again. smileys/smiley7.gif


SO...I made an appt. with a Vascular Doc and he sawhim yesterday. Hedid another scan and found MULTIPLE BLOOD CLOTS IN HIS LEG!!!! My husband then begins to experience chest pain, was sent to the ER by this Doctor. Had a CT done, and one of the clots had broken off from his leg and traveled to his LUNG. ALL BECAUSE THEY MISSED IT THE FIRST TIME!!! AND BECAUSE OUR PRIMARY CARE DOC DIDN'T SEE FIT TO CHECK HIM AGAIN!!! Now he is in the hospital again, and his life is in danger.

I just returned from Mexico on a mission trip. The timing was perfect. We delivered 10,000 backpacks for needy children full of school supplies, and toys.


All I want for Christmas is for my children to learn to be givers, and for them to always understand while we really celebrate the season.


We are so blessed.

Just spending time with my family will do. My hubby was gone to Iraq for 18 months...it really made me realize what is important in life.

Nothing. And my husband hates me for it. He's so easy to buy - he's got a list a mile long. All I could come up with was a new scanner, a work thing. And a new cell battery, another work thing. LOL.

My wish this Christmas is that everyone to have the means to give everyone what they really want to give them. For myself.... I kinda like the idea of all the guys doing the dishes too!

I am so happy to begin working from home this week and I believe it will offer a lot more financial security for myself and family. I'm not debt free but I have three children and I am 28 who am I kidding I will probably never be debt free, so the one guilty pleasure I want for Christmas is the new iphone and I don't know if I will be able to wait that long!

What I want for Christmas is easy... My husband will just be getting home from Iraq- so all I want for Christmas is to spend the holiday with my family. Since we did not have him here with us last Christmas and with the his recent deployment schedule he will miss the next 2 Christmas's. So we will really enjoy this one and make it special..

It could be made special by going to some tropical island.. haha

What I want for Christmas is to be with my children. They're both grown and live out of state( across the country!) The last few years have been a time of change for all us and we haven't been able to be together for Christmas.

It looks like I'm going to get my wish this year! My son-in-law has finished med school, they have bought a house and have settled down for awhile. My son has also finished school and has a good job. We're all planning on flying to my DD house and spending almost a week together. We'll have to share them with her FIL, but we enjoy his company very much. I can't wait!

what i would like for christmas is for all of our troops to be home with their families and for this war to end. We have missed christmas with my brother in law every year since this war has started and this year will be the same. There are families who have lost loved ones and there are children being raised by grandparents because both parents are sitting in a war torn country and i wish they could all be home, be happy, and be safe.

My husband and I have been married for 8 years now. We have struggled in the past financially, but have had a really good year. So for Christmas this year, he is adopting my children (I had previously adopted them as a single parent). The kids don't know yet but I just can't wait to see their faces when they open the box. (Inside is going to be a piece of paper with the court date on it). My husband is dreamy. :)

My whole family (including my parents &amp; 2 sisters and their families totaling 13 people!)has an awesome tradition that we started 3 years ago...
Instead of gifts werent a huge hotel room in a hotel with a kids pool and we spend 3 days2 nights just hanging out! It is something that the kids look forward to all year long! I actually thought of something this year for myself. I have lots of needs, some new clothes, shoes, a warm hat...

But what I want, which would make life a little easier on the upcoming frigid mornings when I have to go out early in the morning with the baby, (well, he will be two in a couple weeks but my last, so always baby, lol!) is one of those automatic car starters so we could climb into a warm car, with a nice clear windshield and windows. I want a laptop (thinking of selling my desktop for some cash to go towards it) so I can be able to focus on my new business from anywhere I happen to be. I also want a better digital camera. I have an older, thicker one that takes forever in between pictures! I miss all the good shots due to that delay! Plus it's bulky.

I have one of those car starters! It does work well, if you remember to have the heater on when you leave the car that night. I always forgot and didn't always have it on when I was getting out (by then I wasn't as cold, so I'd turn it down). Now I have a garage, but it can still be handy at other places.

What a great question. I think about it all year long. Christmas is the best time of year in my family. We make it warm and cozzy up here in Canada. Hope to have my adult children and my grandson down here in Florida all together for Yule or Winter Solstice, December 21st. We're all scattered, so having us all together would be the best gift in the world (although I also wouldn't mind about $500 cash so I could pay my property taxes).

I think that all I really want is to be able to give my kids a happy Christmas with all the gifts they will enjoy so there I guess I need money now for Christmas lol I really don't do Christmas for me anymore cause it is all about my 4 kids now.

I want my kids to be happy.

What do I want? An ipod would be nice. But there are things I need that should come first.

I too am burned out on the commercialism. My kids want every toy they see on TV ads.

I agree with the other mom who posted that you feel "special" when you have a gift to open on Christmas. We mom's work so hard at making Christmas nice for our families. We deserve something that makes us feel special every now and then.

For Christmas this year... I have some odd requests, money has been tight.SantaI am a wanna-be GreenEarth, but it's so darn expensive... Plus I have finally gone up to a healthy weight from 1997, but it means I have few clothes that fit.

This year DH's brother/employer/car provider died very unexpectedly. DH has been unemployed since then.My grandad died. My main job stresses me so much I am stuttering.My dreams of being a writer or starting some sort of Enviromental business seem like dust...

I have been good, so has DH. But this year has been stressful.

So here is my list Santa...
I want to start making $2000 a month from home (before another tax season starts)
DH to get a job.
My brother and SIL to treat DH and me better and spend more time with Mom.
Clothes - that fit...


all the Plumbing repaired or replaced
Low-Elow glare windows fora house in Texas
Insulated siding
Insulation blown in the attic
Energy Star Fridge
A Geothermal Heat A/CPump with UV Air purifier
Low Flow-Grey Water use Toilet

Or forgo all the things after clothes that fit, for a Green-Built Low or Zero Energy Home withConcrete Styrofoam form

also, I am excited because this will be my first Christmas in FL, my birthday is on Dec 28th, and I will be at the BEACH... so a nice HUGE conk shell would be nice to find!

Since I was good this year, I should get what I want, right? Well this year I get to spend Christmas with my wife and kids.

Yeah a lot of people might be thinking "big deal". Well to me and my family it is. I'm grateful for the chance I have to spend this year with them. This year will be special for me. These past couple of Christmas Holidays, I've been away in the military.

This year. At home. All I want for Christmas is my Family. Santa is delivering early this year. I'm so excited. I can't wait. I feel like a little kid.

I wanted 3 new sports jerseys (yes I am indeed female, but I love professional sports) and so far my hubby has purchased 2 of them. He isn't good at hiding my presents LOL

I wanted a Steve Nash and a Grant Hill Phoenix Suns NBA Jersheys (so far he got me Steve Nash) so I am waiting to see if he gets me Grant Hills yet! I also asked for a new Big Ben Pittsburge Steelers Jershey and I did find it in his sock drawer in a bag LOL Gee...if he would put his own clean laundry away, I wouldnt find things like that! LOL

To be honest I am not much into wanting anything for Christmas. The only thing I ever ask for is for my kids to have a great day and enjoy our family.

Most precious gift is to be with loved ones and share time and a meal together. The stories and memories will be cherished forever.

This year my daughter and I are spending our morning at our local nursing home. I have come to love the residents and their life doesnot stop because it is Christmas. I am so excited as we are participating in a church service for them. We will get way more than we give!!!!!!

I find that I don't actually want anything because I have all I need. I have my health and a contented life.

What I really want out of life now is a financially independent future and therefore no worries. That is not for Christmas though. It's all about my own efforts to make it happen.

First I think Monika you have lost the reson for Christ Mas it is not xmas. Once you take Christ out of Christ mas all you will have is the comercial end of things. You say that love and compassion are good reasons for Christ mas but everyone should remember that LOVe is the Greatest of aLL.
