I just called on a salon and the owner just started using the bio matt set. her face was broken out. she's of course unhappy w/ it. she has oily skin so the rep recommended it to her. i told her to call her rep so that she could get her money back b/c it has only been two weeks, i guess she's allergic to it. anyone ever heard of this? any recommendations on what else she could try?

Break outs typically aren't an allergic reaction. Some people experience break outs when first using our products b/c their skin isn't used to botanical based products. Their skin has to have time to adjust & get the toxins out now that it's breathing & able to. The only way to do that is through break outs. I know it's upsetting for people but once everything is out of their system it usually goes away & they have even more beautiful skin. Of course it's getting them to try it for that long.

Now, you do have some people who it's just not the right set for them. I have a friend who feels like she breaks out more with the bio matte so she's switched to the basics set.

But that's great that you called on a salon! smileys/smiley1.gifVery impressive! Did you actually make a call or did you go in?

I went in. I am trying to call on 6 per week during my lunch time. I went into three today. Ijust left my card and shampoo/cond sample w/ the bio matt breakout client.I went to two others and left re9 & sampoo/cond samples w/ a salon guide and catalog. We'll see how the follow up goes!

Thanks for the info, makes plenty of sense! Hopefully her rep will tell her that when she calls. Maybe I'll stop back by in a few weeks to check on her :)

I just went in, introduced myself asked if they had heard of Arbonne before and then told them a little about it. I handed them a guide, catalog, re9 and shampoo/cond sample along with my card. I asked if they would pass it along to the owner and asked for a card to follow up. We'll see how the follow ups go. I know you should ask for the decision maker first but they are more bound to say no that way.

How long do the breakouts last? I started using the BioMatte set about 3 weeks ago. I am now getting some pimples, but I'm not sure if it's hormonal either! smileys/smiley5.gif The ones that I have now are definitely not like the giant mosquito bite types that I used to get once a month. They are smaller & go away more rapidly. smileys/smiley1.gif Just wondering how much longer it will last. BTW, I have tried the Clear Advantage & it is too drying.

Wow I wish Clear Advantage was too drying for me! It makes my skin even oiler. I've been usuing it since the beginning of June and my face is super oily. I am switching to the Biomatte as soon as it gets here. I am hoping the bio matte will dry my face some!

How funny how what one thing does for some it does the opposite for others!

Michele,

My skin is not oily as much as sweaty! Living here in Florida, my face is always shiny in summer. The personalizer helps a lot with that! I touch up during the day with it also. The moisturizers are so much lighter than what I was using before, too. Hopefully, it will work better for you!

Try dropping the toner. I know of people who have a sensitivity to
witch hazel.

Hi everyone,

I've been on the RE9 set since the beginning of June and I've recently started breaking out really bad. I've always had oily/acne-prone skin, but if I'm spending this much on my skin care I had hoped I would be seeing less breakouts! I recently switched to the Clear Advantage line, but I have seen no improvments yet. It's really hard to go up and tell people about this great skincare line your selling when you face is breaking out. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do use all the masks, and I am on the vitamins, colon cleanse and Clear Advantage supplement. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I started with the RE9 set also. It worked great during the winter and colder months, but I had to switch to BioMatte for the summer and warmer months as I get very oily also. It has been working well. I didn't have success with the Clear Advantage. I still use the Thermal Enzyme Masque 4-5 times/week and the RE9 masque 2-3 times per week.

Hope this helps!
