Default QR codes??

Hello everyone!
I haven't been on here in awhile but lurking late night. I was wondering with everyone having some kind of smart phone have you considered using a QR code for advertising?

Reason I ask is I made one earlier for the member side of things that I plan to put on the back of my business cards & use in an advertisement at the local Shrine circus. I'm thinking outside the box (thanks to Kelly Fuller and bootcamp). I already changed my profile picture on google+ and plan to post it maybe on my fb page. If anything it's a good conversation starter. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

Deb

I think the jury is still out on that one...I don't see it catching on as quickly as I think many want it to. I will tell you that I feel it's eye catching, and it does make me want to scan it to see what's in there because of the "secret" factor.

You might do split testing with it. Give out 100 cards each or 50 each of a regular biz card and one with a QR code and see what comes of it. When you get a lead in ask them if the card had a QR code on it and keep a tally. This way you'll get results for your specific area.

Thank you so much for your reply. Split testing is a wonderful idea.

You just never know how things will go until you take that leap & fly with it.
