Just wondering if anyone knew what happened recently at Corporate? Jim Hardin, Mark Dixon, Julia Baker and several others in upper level management have been fired or laid off.

It has been all over the Ameriplan network. I'm surprised it has not been discussed here. It happened about a month ago.

We try to keep things upbeat here on the forum...and I know on the FAHT they don't like to let things like this go downline as it might get people scared or something...not like they are hiding anything but you know what are we gonna do about it? It doesn't help our business so I would figure that they just try to keep things positive.
But I haven't heard anything either. I guess we won't know really what happened because we weren't there so I wouldn't want to speculate. All I can say is that from day one it's been apparant that AmeriPlan corporate has it's sales forces' best interest at heart so I'd have to leave it at that. |

James...I don't know that you need blind faith. I can't imagine them getting rid of someone like Julia Baker without a replacement.
Ashleigh...honestly with idRMG...as was said in some of the webinars I watched it's more for those who have professional backgrounds that would prefer group sales. If it sounds just like what you are looking for then go for it, but if not then the $99 to secure your downline might be a good way to go. I don't think corporate thinks all IBO's will go for it; it seems that there were many who were looking for a group sales business opportunity and this is what they are offering. I know that my passion is not with this but rather the programs so I'm not worrying about it. But that's me personally. I know Ashleigh that you have so much going on so for you I would say just focus on your business and trying to keep that going .

However, ALL you have to pay is $99 before the 4th and that is all you will EVER have to pay, and you will not have to meet any quotas if you do it now as well.(at least this is what I got from the letter and webinars) So for me I can't really do a lot of group things with the girls right now but I may in the future want to. So I think I may try and pay the $99 now VS. deciding later that I want to and having to pay $99 EACH year as well as meet a certain quota each month. Honestly I think this is just another amazing way that Ameriplan is giving us to make MORE money. And it isn't going to be for everyone but there are going to be those who shine in this area :-). Also you might know of people who would love to do this but maybe not so much the Ameriplan side. |

Just to reiterate– this new company doesn’t affect your Ameriplan business. This new opportunity is for individuals who are interested in group sales (for themselves and/or recruiting individuals onto their team) as a supplement (additional stream of income) or for someone coming in that may be interested in this only. Individuals with insurance, direct sales, legal and/or compliance, HR, etc. backgrounds will be more geared toward this new company.
Because we’re already IBO’s, we are given an opportunity to participate with just the one-time enrollment among other benefits (e.g. no minimum monthly requirements) during the open enrollment period. So, if you’re not interested, there’s nothing you need to do – it won’t affect your Ameriplan business. As far as what happened at corporate – this is just “business as usual” in the “corporate world” and I wouldn’t be concerned (No JOB is ever secure). Companies oftentimes need to make difficult decisions to trim the fat and make cuts and when they do it’s usually upper management and the higher salaries that are most affected. You see it all the time and Ameriplan is no different. It’s just part of doing business. So, it’s not like departments (e.g. provider relations) go away, the staff and work is just “re-organized”.

I am not in AmeriPlan so I had no idea all this was going on...however on the positive side it seems as though AmeriPlan saw this Health Bill coming, and has been restructuring to make sure that the company will stay a viable opportunity as the country's health care situation changes.
