Default Advice Needed

I own a janitorial supply business and it does pretty well locally. However, I want to start building an Internet base. My website already has the the availability for affiliates to sign up, etc. I just don't know where to find the affiliates.

Thank you in advance for any advice or direction your able to provide.

I apologize if this is in the wrong area or not allowed.

You may want to look into joining cj.com or links hare.com or google affiliate network. They do the recruiting for you.

I would start out by thinking about who your potential affiliates would be. Then, seek those people or companies out and ask them what they would want to see in an affiliate program. Find out what makes them tick and what would get them excited.

You can check into places like Linkshare, Commission Junction and Shareasale also. You can even run your own affiliate program using simple Wordpress plugins. In addition, it might make sense to hire an affiliate manager who will do everything for you, including recruiting affiliates.

Good luck!

Think of your affiliates as business partners, once you start recruiting them get them onto a monthly email newsletter list where you discuss the latest tips for promoting your products online. Tools like GetResponse and aWeber are good for this.
