Default Autoresponder Recommendation?

What is the most recommended autoresponder these days? Is it still aweber?

I need to get a new autoresponder. I would like something like aweber that is very good but costs much less, of course!

Is there anything out there that any of you know of and can recommend?

I use email marketing system which is an all in one. Autoresponders, lead management, and email broadcasts. Keeps track of open rates and click thrus.
I offer a free account to all my upgraded downline members. I use it alot to send out updates to my downline members and to contact prospective new members.
It's not cheap and it is software I setup on my site.

As far as a low cost autoresponder I would recommend freeautobot(free) -basic autoresponder with some limitations and ads. If you don't want the ads or limitations I would go with aweber.

Hope this helps!

From my own experience, Aweber is really the best if you are planning to build a list and market to it. Some of the others are not suited for internet marketing at all. Others have terrible rates of being blocked. Aweber emails are easy to get through ISPs. I have worked with them for years, and have no plans of ever changing!

I personally use aweber and like, but I really have nothing to compare it to. The cost at first seems high because your list is small and just getting started, but when you have a few thousand people on your list, and can email them all in a just few minutes, the cost is well worth.

I free alternative is mailchimp.com, I haven't used them myself but have heard of them. They are free up to 2000 people I think. Might be a decent choice.
