Hi, John Brady.

First, I wanted to thank you for introducing me to the Warrior Forum. I haven't spent a lot of time on it, but have registered and will check it out thoroughly soon. I tried to send you a PM to thank you, but your profile doesn't accept. :-)

As for the Adsense, you're definitely ambitious. I would love to hear about your ROI.

Many blessings,

- Nat

The Warrior Forum is an excellent, excellent resource. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but if you ever decide to get on the paid site-I think it is like $37 dollars of something for a 20 YEAR subscription, I think you will be pleased at the information and resources.

As to adsense, I plan on launching sites 2,3,4 this month. Once you have the 'base' tools, really all you need to pay for is a domain name to lauch a new site. That and your time investment of course.

You can definitely make a decent amount of money from adsense but it takes a lot of sites and a lot of content. I feel like that time could be better spent on other things such as promoting and affiliate product or coming up with your own product.

Why not just promote those same products on your site using affiliates to make 50% on each sale? Or better yet when you get enough traffic where you can generate a consistent monthly income just from advertising alone. I believe contextual advertising is a good starting point, but ultimately you will make a lot more money using affiliates, MRR or direct advertising.
I too have long wondered why bloggers and such continue to use valuable web space and not be utilizing the power of affiliate marketing but rather are happy with pennies vs dollars. Also you give away CONTROL of what is sold on your site.

Same goes for those who get paid to post others ads - if they are making enough for you to post, why not become an affiliate yourself?

Adsense can be very lucrative, but the key is finding a high paying niche (typically smaller subsections of education and finance related niches) and delivering very high quality content. Otherwise, you have a very real risk of losing your Adsense account. Google does not play around with sites that don't deliver quality any longer. I know of many people who thought they were doing well with their content and boom! Adsense account gone and almost impossible to ever get back.

That being said, if you really do well with Adsense you can build and sell these sites for big money. I would never put all of my eggs in that one basket, though.

Adsense income can be fairly passive. In my opinion, affiliate marketing is somewhat harder as you have to do good sales copy and other things.

Look, I merely started this thread to talk about adsense, not debate adsense vs. affiliate marketing. They are two different things; I'm not saying one is better than another or comparing the two.

My two cents-

I have had moderate success thus far with my 2.5 year old SBI site . which I began in June 2009. However during the course of 2.5 years, a lot has changed with respect to MOTHER GOOGLE .

A some of you are aware, MOTHER GOOGLE is not being fare in its latetest PANDA BOMB that wasd released in October 2011 and the next PANDA release is slotted sometime this month. In our informattive SBI forum we discuss in depth techniques and strategy to prevent sites from being forever BANNED.

With GOOGLE ADSENSE I should double or probably even triple my earnings this year alone, more than my monthly $299.00 SBI webhosting ecommerce membership. But this post is not so much about my success as it is with respect to mega search engine and how you can prevent your site from being forever banned.

With the many content copy writers and spinners that are all over the net, MOTHER GOOGLE is particulary looking for CONTENT FARMS and anything that remotely smells SPAMMY and rewritten and respun. Their alogrithems are that sophisticated to spot AUTHENTICITY from run of the mill DUPLICITY.

Everyone must make sure your respecrtive sites are not copies and rehashed content from other sites, not only do you jeaopardise your sites reputation and MOTHER GOOGLE page ranking, but you put yourself at risk of having your site forever banned, and once your banned, it is 99.99% your Adsense account is banned for life. M ysuggestions:

a) Make sure content is really good, stellar and not copied from another site, even if you have publishing rights-MOTHER GOOGLE Knows copied content from legitimate sites. Make sure your site passes the copy test....

b) secondly: do not put all your eggs in one basket. Just like you would not put all your retirement eggs in one mutual fund or one particular stock, so too, should you not count on MOTHER GOOGLE Adsense as your only monetization method. SBI teaches this, you must use the CTPM method (CONTENT, TRAFFIC, PRESELL and MONETIZE),

Best-

Wayne

My two cents:

I've been online for 2.5 years now in my SBI personal goal setting website that I began in June 2009, and in a course of almost 3 years since having MOTHER GOOGLE ADSENSE, what I hae learned is that CONTENT is KING, regardless if you have a blog, a regular website or any other website portal. And although MOTHER GOOGLE ADSENSE can be very lucritive as a way for passive income generation , if you do not follow MOTHER GOOGLE's TORs, you will be BANNED.

Just go on the forums, thousands of innocent website owners for various viloations have been banned. If you are paying attention at all to MOTHEr GOOGLE's latest PANDA II release that hit in October 2011, many very successful website onwers were penalized and lost significant traffic rank for various infractions. SBI recently published an informative report on what we SBI owners can do for regaining our traffic back, and specific steps to ensure our SBI sites pass the test. Unfortunalty this report is avaialble only for SBI website onwners like myself.

Two suggestions I will suggest immediatley:

A) Make sure your CONTENT is original content and not copied from another site. Many on this forum suggest rehashing old content or SPINNING which is fraud-non original content. MOTHER GOOGLE's Algorithem is way too sophisticated and can spot regergutated content from original. Not only will you lose ranking, you could be banned and even sued for copyriight infringment.

NEVER EVER SPIN content, it's fat out wring and stealing others' hard work and effort. I have a 170 page content quality site that is all my orgiinal research and writing in my own words-not others, and I have been rewarded by MOTHER GOOGLE ADSENSE accordingly in my advertising reveue that will more than pay for my $299.00 yearly membership. I should probably double or even triple my Adsense earnings this year compared to last year-which was my first year that I actually earned $$$ from Adsense.

B) Make sure you follow MOTHER GOOGLE's TORs to the "T".. Make sure you have on your site the proper required privacy policy, affiliate policy (if you are an affiliate). Also remember it takes time to get established online. it took me twenty months before I recevied my first MOTHER GOOGLE Adsense check-March 2011, but it only took 4 months to recevie the 2nd check - July 2011, and 3 months before I received my 3rd -October 2011.

I am now receiving a check every other month from MOTHER GOOGLE, and amounts continue to grow. It takes time, make sure you take the time to first invest in your site (whether it be a blog or traditional site like I own), make sure your site provides real value or a service to your visitors and customers, and make sure you have original content.

Best-

Wayne
