Good question.. I have been reluctant to advertise on facebook because I feel its kind of like spamming. The best thing to do instead of posting on wall is to create a group and then invite your friends to the group to look at your opportunity

no I wasn't going to try to double dip by posting and affiliate link for my own book! That didn't even cross my mind!

Yes I agree gatorade - to start a group of people interested in what you have to offer. Believe it or not -- there are some people who like to be advertised to about certain items. Think about Groupon, alot of people want to know about all those deals. Or think about when you shop at one of your favorite retailers and they ask if you will give them your email they will send you updates and discounts.

I have no first hand experience but I have read many threads on various forums about people having their Facebook account banned due to promoting affiliate links. I would definately do my research first.
