Doing reviews or creating a review blog is good for promoting Amazon products. I've been making some affiliate sales for Amazon in this way.

Also, consider promoting a good ebook related to the topic of your blog. You can find affiliate programs for promoting ebooks allowing you to earn 50 - 75% commission. Just make sure that the ebook is of high quality so that your blog visitors will always be willing to buy more products in the future from your recommendations.

I have been doing well with Amazon as well. I do find the review sites do much better then just posting some links on an informational page. Good luck with your venture.

To get more traffic to your blog it needs to be active. Try to post new content every other day. Also take advantage of article marketing to promote your blog. You can use articles to review the Amazon products you are trying to earn money from and also provide links back to your blog. You want to place these articles on article directories like EzineArticles, Hubpages and Squidoo. There are also tons of other article directories on the internet but the 3 I just identified rank well on search engines. If you are not a proficient writer you can use low cost services to help you. I have a resource section on my website that provides ways to get content on your blog if you need assistance. Good luck.

Creating some videos and putting them on Youtube then linking back to your blog can be a great way to get some extra traffic as well.

Just a thought, when driving traffic to your blog try and ensure you are able to capture your leads to build your list, rather than building your affiliate company's list!
Kind Regards,
Jayne.

Default Resources Page

1. I don't know what your blog is about, but if it's on a specific subject you could try adding a "resources page". Not everything you list has to be an affiliate link, but make sure everything on there is relevant, and useful for your readers. I haven't added mine yet, but I got the suggestion from another blogger who does well and it makes sense. Most of the "big" blogs you see have one.
Also you should add a link to your blog in your signature link here. I've seen an increase in traffic just since I added mine here, and some of it's from this forum (thanks guys ) Plus I like looking at the blogs on here. I've found some good ones!
