Default My own domain

I use Blogger with my own registered domain. Is there any reason this would not be a good idea?

It can work! Most professional bloggers recommend and use the WordPress platform, but that's not to say that you can't achieve what you want using the Blogger platform. I visited your blog. It looks nice.
If Blogger is working for you, stick with it. I use and love WP, but I've never used Blogger, so I can't really compare.

What are you goals for your blog? Is it a hobby or is it something you are trying to make significant income with? It looks well done and you seem to be posting frequently.

I'm not looking for thousands of dollars a month, but a few hundred would be nice. My plan is to update the blog often and include affiliate links. I'll write articles and post them on squidoo, ezine, articlesbase, etc..to drive traffic to the blog. I also have a twitter account for this blog.

I know a little about SEO but will continue to learn.

Sound like a good plan?

You have a nice blog...and it sounds like you're focused with a good plan in place. Blogger can be a good start...especially for those on a tight budget. There are some downsides...your blog could end up missing one day after all your hard work. (It's happened). Secondly, you have to live with the "next blog" link at the top, possibly sending your traffic away.

So, although I recommend your own Wordpress blog on your own hosted server, I would say just work hard on providing good content and building your income...and then when possible, move it all over to your own hosted blog so that you can have complete control over everything.

One way or the other, it's certainly your own right to choose...and many people have done successfully with blogger.

There is nothing wrong in this, you can carry on with this.

Best of luck.

Blogger or Wordpress, both are suitable, I agree with above poster.

If you decide to go with Blogger, make sure to back up all your posts. Good luck!
