Default Help?

Okay. I read a tutorial on affiliate marketing and now I'm stuck.

I signed up with commission junction.

Then, I chose a niche and a product I'd like to promote.

I researched keywords.

I wrote an article.

Here is where I'm stuck. I tried to post the article on Squidoo, but I don't see how to post my affiliate link. Is there another site that allows this? Hubpages? I have a blog, but the article won't be a good fit there.

CJ has HUNDREDS of programs. I like doing the pay per leads campaigns. They have Coupons.com which pays per lead and is a big hit with coupon and freebie sites. They have stuff like free survey sites, insurance, free budgeting software etc.

They also have a few photo sites that offer free prints for new members and you get paid just for them signing up.

I would suggest trying those campaigns first. You will make more money from them.

You don't have to sell anything. CJ has several pay per lead campaigns.

Kodak
Ritz Pic
Mint.com
Coupons.com

etc...
just do a search for them under advertiser links.

You should get your own domain if you want to make money... web 2.0 properties are better used for SEO.

Kathy, at Squidoo, simply work your affiliate link into the text, using HTML to link key words.
Hubpages has strict limits (no more than 2 links to a particular site), so it is not the best site for affiliate marketing.

I recommend Wizzley.com. As long as your article is at least 400 words and offers genuine value to the reader, you can add affiliate links.

I'm seeing income there. In fact, if you go there and hunt around, you should be able to find my article about my Wizzley earnings. (Making Money on Wizzley -- My Story) I don't want to drop a link here.

SpringMama--

I know you've had a few good replies so far, I just wanted to add a couple things. I am very new to AM too and using CJ. I too had trouble with figuring out how to use my affiliate links, so I contacted CJ help and found them very, very helpful. After weeks of searching and receiving different answers from different people, they were able to explain what I needed to know in one email! So, that's my advice as far as using CJ, if you need help, specifically with your links, they are the best ones to ask.

Good luck!
