I think that affiliate marketing has suffered from a huge decrease since the Google Panda update in February, mostly affiliate sites with thin content. Therefore, i suggest only serious people that can add more value to engage with affiliate marketing.

I definitely agree with you, and more than ever ingenuity has become a more important role in succeeding in affiliate marketing

And one of the ways you can exercise ingenuity is to get over the, all to common, attitude that you have to have a website or blog to make money as an affiliate. There are a raft of other ways, nearly all of which involve less work that trying to get sites to rank high in the Search Engines so as to get a good flow of buyers. For example:

1) Direct linking to the vendors site using paid traffic.
2) Solo Ads
3) Ad Swops
4) PPV
5) YouTube
6) CPA

And that's only the tip of the affiliate methodology iceberg.

Look always for the best return with the least effort - because it's only through this that you can turn affiliate marketing from 'work' into freedom and lifestyle.

Has any every tried to take online affiliate programs offline?

1.Print Sales letter
2. Pre rerecorded phone message
3. Mail, fax, order
4. Go online make the order for your customer

I originally did this 3 years ago I got away from it for a while but thinking going back to it. There is a balance between online and offline marketing.

Think it really does depend on the niche you're in. I don't see this working for my area (weight loss), although I could be wrong and open to any suggestions...
