Everyone always says the money is in the list and I'd have to agree. Once you have a list, you can promote related products to your list. All in all, I'd have to say the most important thing in internet marketing is that you have to give something away for free in order to build your list. You have to add value in order to build your list. You have to take part in your community in order build you list.

The majority of people try to sell without building any relationship with others. This approach does not work--I have tried it.

Chris Farrell has a lot of good info about this type of technique on his membership site. He talks about having a "proper mindset" & he's built a pretty large list doing just this.

In my experience a combination of giveaways (trinket advertising) along with relationship building on a personal level is successful. In todays online world, a lot of people don't take time to talk via phone or in person to develop that relationship, so we use online social sites and SEO services for selling. I have had success with both.

The most important in marketing is "knowing the target audience". So getting a mailing list in the target segment is the 1st step. we have to come up with the offer to start selling.

Actually, the money is in the Relationship that you build with your list. When you provide your people with something of value and show them that you really are out to help them and you are not just in it for the money, that, is what is truly the key!

When you take an others' focused attitude, that is where Attraction Marketing really falls into place.

I have been simply amazed at how I have been blessed by making myself available to help folks, whether they were on my list or NOT, with getting started online.

It empowers me because I really enjoy it, and it is valuable to others because I've been around the block and am farther down the path than them...

It's a win/win and so very rewarding!

That very much true money is in list and also moeny is from the list. If we have list than only we will able to make money by using that list and this something that for what we can say certainly or sure about it, but if done without list than it completely uncertain.

You would be surprised how much you have to offer as an individual. There are just so many things that we as marketers know that others just starting out do not. Most times we do not even realize what we know that others do not. Any small bit of knowledge that you can give away, via a quick video, blog post or comment is a fantastic way to build a list because people need this info.

Do not discount the knowledge you have right now.

True, you might not think that you have much to offer, but next time you find yourself talking to one of your friends, take note of what you are TEACHING them. This could be something that you could give away to build a list!

I completely agree with you, giving something free to others really helps to build a good relationship. However, I think having a good knowledge about most of the things is also important. Providing wrong information or misleading people though you have done intentionally, may break the bridge to the strong relationship.
