Did you know that it was against Mail Chimp's Terms of Service to use their service for affiliate marketing?

Yep, some have had their lists wiped out for breaking the TOS...

Just a heads up.

Take Care,
Never used mailchimp and none of my friends have used it ever.

I see there alot of people using it.

Can't use mailchimp to promote affiliate marketing products to your list!

that Sucks.

I use TrafficWave because of the set price, and because of the ability to make additional money as an affiliate.

Just about to jump on the list building bandwagon so this post is timely. I think from all the research that I've been doing, I'm going to go with Aweber. They've been around for a whi8le and seem to be well respected and offer an effective service.

I just did a decent amount of research on the different autoresponders. We originally were using Aweber but we wanted to be able to segment our lists based on what links they click and if they purchase something. Well in order to do that you have to install some analytics on your website. This is not a problem, but the analytics uses an http: link. Since our site is secure and uses https: this cause any issue with our security certificate on our website. I hopped on with Aweber support and unfortunately there was nothing they could do.

I next looked into icontact, constant contact, vertical response but I struck out on all of these (as far as the requirements we had).

I then looked at getresponse and this had everything we need. I've been using them and so far so good. Also, they are about half the price. Aweber is $19 for 500 subscribers, get response is $15 for 1000

Just my experience and 2 cents.

Also, as other people have mentioned. Any of these companys can hold your lists hostage for any reason them deem. It would probably be a good idea to export your list to CSV on a regular basis as a backup.

I use email marketing system which is an all in one. Autoresponders, lead management, and email broadcasts. Keeps track of open rates and click thrus.
I offer a free account to all my upgraded downline members. I use it alot to send out updates to my downline members and to contact prospective new members.
It's not cheap and it is software I setup on my site.

As far as a low cost autoresponder I would recommend freeautobot(free) -basic autoresponder with some limitations and ads. If you don't want the ads or limitations I would go with aweber.

Hope this helps!

I also recommend Aweber. I have several large lists, and have never had any problems with Aweber. I would not recommend Mailchimp as they are very anti-Internet marketer from what I hear. Another one would be GetResponse. No experience with them specifically, but have heard good things.
