Nice tips, permit me to include SEO. Search engine optimization is one of the best mode of traffic thou it takes time to achieve a high ranking. But the traffic are targeted and definitely worth it.

Don't forget about social networking sites and paid methods of marketing. Things like PPC and banner ads can really drive a lot of traffic if done correctly

More traffic building tips.....

There are tons of ways to promote your niche sites. So many it can become overwhelming.

The first step is to make sure the articles and your site itself are optimized for the search engines.
Make sure your site is set up to Ping your new posts.

Then I like to start with article marketing which simply involves submitting articles to article directories such as ezine articles, go articles etc.

Social bookmark your posts using sites such as Digg, Delicious, Mr. Wong, Faves and others. I also will sometimes bookmark the bookmarks.

Submit press releases.

Submit your site to quality directories such as dmoz.

Feed your RSS feed to the aggregators. Feed the feeds from your articles to the Feed sites. Ping the feeds that you fed

Develop a presence on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Myspace if you feel this will benefit the type of site you have.

Post quality comments on forums and have your site in your signature.

Post quality comments on blogs using your keywords in your signature.

There are also many advanced techniques but these will get you started and if you have selected the right keywords, it may be all you need.

Work at it each day. It adds up

I'm using sites like Docstoc ? Documents, Templates, Forms, Ebooks, Papers & Presentations and Upload & Share PowerPoint presentations and documents.

Basically converting articles to PDF's. It's just like article marketing except I can include as many links as I want in one article and, in my experience, the files are ranking higher than the same article submitted to article directories.

Hi, I generate alot of exposure with my press releases, You can either do a free one, some only charge a dollar like Free-Press-Release.com and will give you good exposure.

Just google press releases and you will see all the different services, I suggest to start out with the free ones. And read their info. on How To Write A Press Release. Good luck...
