Default Article Marketing/Submitting

I have done some article marketing, and it works really well for getting good page ranking in Google. I also know that posting the same article over and over again, even with changes can be very time consuming. So, I was wondering the following:

1. What are some of the top article directories you would recommend and how many should one use if going the manual route of posting to each one?

2. Is there an automated article submitter out there that you would recommend that is not going to be a waste of time and money? I see a lot that send out to junk sites, or just overload in general. I would be looking at one that specifically sends to the best rated article directories out there.

Thanks all,
Randi Moore

The one I use the most is ArticleBot by Incansoft.

It does submit to quite a few of what I guess you would call junk sites.

However, I don't think that's a bad thing. It varies the links. If you had only links from sites with a PR of 5+, that might look suspicious and unnatural.

well i have done a ton of article marketing over the past 2 years and learned a lot.

my take is that i use article marketing in two different ways

1. to get traffic
when i use article marketing to get traffic and sales i hand submit the articles to ezine, goarticles, thefreelibrary, hubpages and articlesdashboard

those are the ones that i have seen deliver the most traffic and the most sales. And rank the highest in the search engines

obviously you get the added benefit of the links but mainly i submit to these sites to make money directly from the article traffic

2. i do it just for the links to get my own sites ranked higher (or to get my articles ranked higher, by pointing the link to an ezine or hubpage article i want to rank higher)

in this case i don't care if the article gets submitted to a bunch of junk sites because i am going for quantity over quality. to accomplish this i use articlemarketer once you get used to their little rules and quirks you can submit your article to a couple hundred directories very quickly and get a ton of easy backlinks

hope that helps

There are three way you get traffic

1 Direct
2 referral (off page activity)
3 search engine (on page activity)

its depend which traffic you want ,the best is search engine traffic

I hate to burst your bubble on this Sophia, but search engine traffic has more to do with off page activity than it does on page activity. That is unless you are targeting a long-tail keyword with about 10,000 or less competing sites. Otherwise, you will never make it to the first page of the SERP's without a lot of off page activity.

One called Unique Article Wizard is also a good one to use although it can be pricey at $67 per month. However, it does a great job at creating back links. I submit articles for others using this system for $6 per article, so you can also use it to create a little side income for yourself to help pay for it!

Exactly!

That's the most intelligent post on article marketing I've seen in ages!, and is what I teach my people so that:

1) They know the uses, and limitations of the two methods.
2) So they don't waste time and/or harm their SEO efforts.

I would also endorse Icansoft's submitter - for the junk sites

You will find that unique article wizard is one of the best out there, you can rewrite your article into three versions, then submit it to 100's of directories. It works very well.

I've used Unique Article Wizard and SubmitYourArticle.com.

Neither of them did anything for me. As I'm learning how backlinks work, I'm beginning to understand that the quality of your links matter more than the quantity of your links.

I once typed into the Google browser a keyword I was planning to optimize an article for. Of the results that appeared on the first page for that keyword, I decided to look up the backlinks for the URLs in position one and position two. It turned out that the site in position 2 had 627 backlinks while the site in position 1 had only 21.

I'm thinking, "How did that happen?"

Apparently, it's not about the number of backlinks, but the relevancy of your backlinks and the quality of those backlinks. Google has over 200 criteria that factor into page rank. Backlinks is a big criterion.

In other words, it's better to write an article on Ezine Articles which Google already considers an authority site, already gets high traffic, and just so happens to have over 700,000 backlinks. Articles written from Ezine Articles tend to appear in the first four positons of the first page of Google for a particular keyword. Usually, not always. Your article is simply another "page" on this huge website that Google considers an authority site and allows it to rank well.

Optimize your article for your chosen keyword, and then put the link to your website in your resource box. So what you're effectively doing is funneling search engine traffic from a high-traffic site to your low-traffic website.
