Default Affiliate links and Craigslist

I see craigslist doesn't allow affiliate links anymore. I used to get lots of traffic from them but now they are blocking my site and they block my affiliate links. I see some ads with links in them, Anyone here having this problem? and Do do you know how to get your site to post?

Some manage to get their links posted there for a short time, but then they will ban their IP. Craigslist is not a good place for affilate marketing any more.

That sucks, sometime I wish they would just charge to post in every section. I used to make $300 a month just off my craigslist ads.

I'm not really sure of the question...Craigslist won't allow affiliate links or sites with lots of affiliate link to post on their site.

It has become difficult to post anything with a link. Even cloaked ones like those at Tiny URL. It seems they are simply trying to keep it local in nature only. Any URL or postings with URL's are watched closely and most often reported by some do gooder and they get taken down. If you keep reposting them, they simply ban your IP address, I know from experience.

Craigslist is tough. I used to be able to assist a lot of people for FREE by getting them to a place where they could just drop me an email. There are so many on there who just sit in waiting looking for a link to pop up.

I'd be interested in hearing methods that work on Craigslist if anyone has it figured out.

The only method that I have heard about ( I have never done this though) is to put your add up and then put your email in the ad and say something like: For more information email me at .... Then when they email, you direct them to your affiliate link. Some people say since they asked for the info from you that it is okay and not spam, but I think it does border on at least greyhat, so use precaution. You may still have people who report you to Craigslist and may still get banned or banned from your affiliate network.

I'm not looking to refer them to an affiliate link so much as to provide them with information on how they can get started in affiliate problogging.

Gosh it's been years since I first started working online - things are constantly changing thanks to the annoying spammers and spam bots.

Thanks for the advice
