Default A small question

I'm new to this whole affiliate marketing idea. I have found a few programs that got me interested but one of them is offering a free website also. Do you think I should go for it?
I already have friends who use it and they told me they make money out of it, but I still want to hear more opinions.
Is it ok if I post a link here, so you can tell me what you think?

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think it's fine to post a generic link to the company/program itself (i.e. not anyone's affiliate-link to it) for the purposes of asking people what they think about it.

I guess it depends on the company but I think it's best just to buy your own domain, hosting and start a site using Wordpress (.org) which you can set up through your hosts cpanel. It's rare that affiliate programs offer websites so I'm not sure how I feel about the offer you're looking at. If you can give us a bit more info that would be great.

If they are offering you a website, I would guess that it is not an affiliate program. It's an MLM company.

I agree with Mike.

For some good affiliate stuff, you can't go wrong with products by Chris Rempel. If you know nothing, start with confessions then add affiliate genie once you understand it all. There are many similar programs so check them all out. I only recommend Rempel's because I use them haha.

First, thank you for your welcome.
Second, it's not exactly a MLM program, here is what they say: "this is pure profit share instead of MLM"
I can't put a link here because what I found isn't their homepage site but is the site of a person promoting them.
I will post the link in the advertise your business section so I won't be breaking any rules. The program is called "Immediate cash income"

Thanks for your replies, I just at the beginning of the road and I do need a lot of help.

Hi Honiawa - welcome! I'm with Angie; I'd go with a self-hosted WordPress blog as well. I don't know anything about the program you're considering, though, so I can't speak to that. No matter what, inform yourself thoroughly before parting with any hard-earned cash. There are definitely some great programs out there, but when in doubt, do without.

Default thanks

Thank you for your advice Laura. It was indeed some sort of MLM, even though they say it's not quite it.
Anyway, I'll wait for another week or so to see how my friend is doing, and I will consider it again.
Until then I will think about the Wordpress thing and maybe check things out in that direction

And, by the way, sorry I posted in the wrong place, initially I though it was an affiliate program.

hard to give an opinion without seeing the actual company you are talking about

my opinion and what has always worked best for me is to build my own sites and promote them.

it can very difficult to get a site to rank for anything worth while when it is a mirror site that hundreds or even thousand of other people have

google likes original and unique sites
