I agree to some extent with the free approach, but when you begin to make a buck, spend some time at elance.com or guru.com and hire some really cheap talent to boost your SEO efforts, it's well worth it.

Like mainly eveyone else the only thing I pay for is my domain forwarding address from go- daddy. I got a free website, I have not started auto responders yet, but i am seeing that is the way to go.

i started out doing all free methods article marketing video marketing etc

but the more capital i came up with the more i started to reinvest to really grow my business.

when i finally started putting money in is when things really took off and i was able to quit my day job.

so my opinion from personal experience is if you want to make a lot of money invest your profits back in to see it grow.

when i started outsourcing my tedious tasks and really got into PPC that's when the money really started to add up

Wow I thought all of affiliates were free? I guess I have no idea on how to use all the programs.

Ginene,
Affiliate programs are free to join (you shouldn't pay to join any affiliate program). It's other business investments they are talking about such as web hosting, domain names, advertising, hiring writers, etc. that you'll need to build a business as an affiliate marketer.

Default Just for tax deductions

I don't need to spend money but thought it would be a good idea to have some tax deductions. So I recently spent $100 on elance.com to pay a writer to write articles for my site. It's always good to publish fresh content on your website on a regular basis. And this gave me some free time to work on other things.

IMHO adwords is a huge waste. Tried it and never again.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't really know what an autoresponder is! Is that a newsletter or something? I have a newsletter list but rarely use it in favor of rss subscriptions and facebook. I do make good money without because all my traffic comes from organic search and social network referrals.

adwords isn't a waste. like anything else, you just need to learn what you're doing.

i just started building site around a popular keyword phrase, except in this case instead of the word
and
people are typing in the symbol &
and there isn't much competition at all.
There is only one search result for the page and that page has no content there anyway. of course there are similar keywords and other pages for the keywords but not the whole phrase.

So there's an idea for everyone and one I hadn't ever thought of myself.

I was doing keyword research and it was a synonym in googles keyword tool.

I found adwords to be far too time consuming compared to good old SEO.

I am not spending money in order to earn too. I prefer the free ways to earn online than those which you have to invest in order to earn.

I use seo and free ways.
I have found that you can spend a little on adwords and this ends up in people searching for my site through google.
