Mike, again I find myself agreeing with you. There are several products that you can buy or online services you can use to spin an article and avoid the duplicate content debacle. Jet Spinner is one online source you can use. Just create a 400 to 500 word article and Jet Spinner will create 50 or more articles that are more then 40% different. You control that as number as well. I love it and it's free, which I love just as much!

JetSpinner is great. Love it.
However, I don't bother spinning articles I'm using for article marketing. As long as you don't post the same content on your own website multiple times, there is no duplicate content penalty to fear. Have the same article on hundreds or even thousands of different websites is just syndication. Google doesn't penalize that. In the time it takes to properly spin an article, I could have written another one instead. I'd rather spend the time doing that. I do spin articles if I'm posting them on multiple sites of my own. Like when building linkwheels.

I was referring to the SEO properties of spinning an article. I find that the link back number is higher if I post those spun articles at different article sites. Don't really know why, but I have experimented with several products that I have article marketed and found that if I spin them, I get more link backs then if I don't, so go figure. Google is a weird beast and I just don't like to take chances. I sometimes think there algorithm messes up with the syndication parameter, and that is simply MHO.

I agree that article marketing is the way to go. Of course I'm biased because I enjoy writing, but it does bring in consistent traffic.
