I have not yet done it myself but understand that creating a Lens on Squidoo is a good place to start for ClickBank. Good luck!

Hi Shelly,

I have recently chosen a clickbank product and created a squidoo lens as well as a blog to promote it. The trick is to get into the search engines for particular keywords for targeted traffic to your sites.

Article marketing does take time. I'd do a lot of articles and do some social bookmarking. Try to set a goal of an article a day or two a week if you can. If you're consistent and watch the results in terms of keyword rankings and where you're getting your hops from you can capitalize on that when you write future articles.

Cheers,
Dana

Default Excellent Post...

I'm anxious to follow this post and see what responses come as well. I've had a little success with Clickbank, but most of the campaigns I try get nowhere. I usually use Google Adwords and I'm probably just selecting too popular/already saturated products...

Great post, looking forward to seeing the responses as well!
Thanks,
Diane

I've promoted with traffic exchanges, but have come to realize they are useless in converting viewers into sales; I've put up multiple websites with a multitude of products in the form of review sites, with actual reviews; and I've done forum/article/blog promoting AND video promoting!

For me, it seems tough. I've even followed the Clickbank Code.
But I'll keep at it. It seems to be more long term than right-then-and-there quick.

So far, only one sale was made and it was randomly done. About a month + a few days has gone by. Still going for making another sale. Yet, it continues to be elusive.

I dropped Clickbank - the products that are relevant to my niche are either of poor quality, or the sales copy is pathetic. I've since found some better alternatives at CPA networks, and the payout is much higher.

Yelena,

What is CPA Networks? I'm trying to think of something to blog about and to make money. We need some way to supplement our income now. I do work at home and have been a notereader-scopist since 1998, but there are times that I have very slow work coming in and can't get anywhere.

Thanks,
Tiza

Tiza,

CPA stands for "commission per action", which means that unlike with traditional affiliate products where you get paid per sale, here you get paid when a person takes some specific action. It can be as simple as just entering their email or zipe code, taking a survey, requesting additional information, signing up for a free trial and so on.

Some of the CPA networks you can try signing up for:
pepperjam.com
maxbounty.com
ampedmedia.com
azoogleads.com
copeac.com

There are dozens of them out there. The trickiest part is getting approved - most of them want you to have experience with this type of affiliate marketing. They will usually review your website and call you on the phone to discuss your experience.

I didn't have any experience, but still got approved by 15 networks - they liked my website and my traffic.

I don't use social networks at all. And I learned long ago that traffic exchanges were useless. While the numbers look great on your site report for traffic, it's pointless clicking and uninterested people who are simply trying to the same thing you are -- gain traffic to a site. You want interested people, not mindless clickers!

In other places, I do use forums to promote - but not as spam. I use signatures. I also use a lot of article marketing. The article marketing is the better of the two.
