Wow! Allen really knows his stuff.

Shoot me a PM Allen and maybe I can hook you up with a buddy of mine who makes a fortune. You guys could JV or something if you haven't already.

The biggest thing to do is keep at it. It's like dieting. Many people try but most simply fail because "it's too hard" or they don't see immediate results. Make a schedule and DO NOT deviate from it. That little site you have about the trains going by in your backyard could be a goldmine if set up properly. Join some programs, sell some train related junk, put on some good content and BAM. That little hobby blog just earned you $100 or more in one weekend.

Oh, please!, You're making me blush

But, thanks!

Tell you what people, doesn't matter how much money you're making, how good your self esteem is - when someone says something nice about you, everything else fades into the background.

Damn! I need to do it myself more often.

Thanks 'Rsunset'!

Default Approx $50 daily just starting out...

I've been working as an affiliate for about 6 months now and earning between $30 and $60 a day. Automation helps a ton and I focus on instant pay PayPal products. It's not great, but I can only improve.

Affiliate marketing is a very lucrative business, one thing you need to know is that this kind of business requires expertise to really make the most out of it. A lot of successful people make up to $10,000 and more monthly.

Personally, i am not earning up to $500 for now. I just began to get things right.

Default While everyone was partying like it was 1999...

I was starting off with my first website. In the days before Facebook and Twitter, I was networking the old fashioned way - with message boards, guestbooks and Yahoo Groups.

A couple of years ago, I reached the height of my earning - I was making $6,500 - $8,500 per month. I was married to a bum that wouldn't work - thought marriage and public assistance was the only career options he needed. Long story short, I sold the website that was earning the most for enough to purchase a home for my kids and me - let my income fall because I didn't want him taking more from me then he already had - then I divorced the sponge.

In Fall of last year, I found myself essentially starting at ground zero. I've rebuilt a couple of blogs in different but similar niches and have worked myself back to $30 - $60 per day on average thus far.

Some days I struggle, wondering if I made the right decision - but realize I'd rather start over then pay him spousal support.

No matter what you are do - affiliate marketing is an awesome way to earn. You just need to find a product or service you truly believe in - have a passion about it - and have a real NEED to succeed - the rest falls into place.

Today I returned to my initial roots of providing support - only now it's for people who have a NEED to work from home. I have coupled blogging with affiliate marketing and love helping others get off the ground doing the same.

Cheers,
Gayla

i did affiliate marketing and run eCommerce sites on the side for nearly 2 years before i quit my 9-5.

call me conservative but i did not want to quit my day job until i was consistently making 20% more with my online income.

my only regret is that i didn't quit sooner. now that i have been home working on my websites "full" time i am making more than i ever could have at my day job.

it takes a ton of work and patience but is so worth it being home and working my own schedule

When I started in affiliate marketing a little less than 1 year ago, I started knowing NOTHING. I now have 160+ niche blog sites, a thriving freelance writing business and just started creating ebooks and courses. They sky is the limit when it comes to affiliate marketing. I left a high paying corporate job in November and have never looked back. My husband is a stay at home dad and we homeschool as well. We live off my online income only.

When starting out, you might want to do some writing for others to make ends meet so that you can start putting money away to get your business going. Don't simply use free sites because you want to "own" your own real estate when it comes to working online. It is great to use those sites to drive traffic, but don't depend on Squidoo, Blogger, etc for your total income because if they change their rules or don't like something about your site (which happens a lot), then you can be out of business in a snap!
