In my opinion, some key success factors for an online business are
a) content, content, content. Make it relevant and give it away.
b) Traffic (good relevant content will bring targetted traffic). With good content, people will visit you more than once. That need to happen 4-5 times before they will buy anything from you.
c) Build trust. People will buy from you (or from your site) if they get a consistent positive experience when they visit your site and if they have positive feedback from others about you andyour business.
d) Present them with the product they need (relevancy)and they will naurally buy it.This will be easy because they will have found a credible site which givesuseful and relevant information about something theyhave beenlooking for.
