The most important aspect of a blog is to offer your readers value on a regular basis, daily if possible, or at least 2-3 times a week. Value can mean different things:
  1. Well-written opinions on topics of interest--often controversial but supported by facts and strong reasoning
  2. Tips, techniques, strategies for success
  3. Humor
  4. "Inside" information, not found elsewhere and/or compiling a collection of insider information from other sources about a carefully defined subject
  5. Alerting readers to valuable resources you have discovered
  6. Giving visitors an additional reason to subscribe to your blog's RSS feed so they return often. See my sig file for an example.
I visited your Popcorn and Twizzler blog. I'm not sure what it's about. TV network news? Movies? I recommend writing a description of your blog and putting it in the Description section (on Blogger > Settings > Basic) of your blog. That way readers know up front what your blog is about. Plus, writing it forces you to decide what your blog's focus is.

I like the layout and colors. Some suggestions:
  1. Put your first Adsense ad above the fold
  2. Try a different color scheme for adsense--maybe no background with white and red text so it blends in better
  3. Don't use posts to promote affiliate products very often
  4. Unless they've worked for you, I'd take out the Adgenta ads since they look too much like ads (people ignore them) and even if someone clicks on them, the sites they link to aren't related well to the content of the ad.
  5. Vary the color of the text on the right margin so people notice it--contrast is important o/w visitors are "blind" to everything on your right margin.
I hope this helps,
