By contract jobs I mean that you aren't directly on the G payroll. You are employed by a contracting agency. Think of it as temping through a Manpower type agency. There is also a set termination date. You are told the job will last for a year, but I have heard people say they have been doing it for more than a year. I have also heard you can reapply a month after your contact ends. So, it is not permanent, officially. But still,very good money if even for just a year.
