I'm Beth! I haven't been around this forum in quite sometime. I have been busy with other ventures. I have worked for NEC for a number of years. It's a great company to be an IC for. However if you are looking at crafting as a source of great money you might want to look elsewhere as some have already said.
With NEC you can make some money to supplement your income however it will take time to get started with them. You have to pass critiques on any project you choose to do and that can take a while depending on your craft skills and even with great craft skills it can still take time to pass.
It takes drive and determination to get to the point of earning money with this company but many including myself have done it so it can be done. One of my best suggestions is after you order your kit join NEC's forum where you can get help, tips, and support from others that have passed critiques or are in the process of passing critiques. I know Chers runs the forum and she often talks with the owners of NEC for tips and suggestions for those needing help on projects.
