I agree that credit checks don't seem fair. I guess some companies and agencies think you're more of a risk if you're deeply in debt/have bad credit. That you'd be more willing to sell their secrets. Or if you can't handle your own finances, how could you handle their job?
I don't like it, but unfortunately credit checks are a reality that seems here to stay. And with this economy, more and more people are having credit problems.
