Stick to 'how to' reports that are not easy to understand and don't take a lot of time to put together. Go with clickbank or paydotcom you can get started now with both of these sites. You don't really need your own website to start I would recommend you do have one so you can generate leads by offering a free report something that will solve a problem or again 'how to' do something that people are looking to for, write a review after you have read the ebook yourself than at the bottom have them go to your affiliate page.
Just sending someone to your affiliate page probably still works writing about it in a article or blog is better. Kevin Riley has some great reports on how to really do this right. Also use twitter get this
