For me, it all really boiled down to the fact that I decided using simple blogging software, these days, could produce the same outcome that I wanted in a lot less time (and with
very much less expense!) than using SBI.
I was also influenced by many threads I read about SBI by using the "search" function at the Warrior Forum, to see what a few dozen really experienced internet marketers thought about it. A friend who's a very active and well-known member there guided me, a little, as to "whose opinions are generally reliable and well-reasoned" (which is difficult to judge for yourself, as an outsider), but I found anyway that the overwhelming preponderance of opinion there from former SBI users was that although SBI is a good and reliable product/service that "does exactly what it says on the can", it's really very cumbersome, time-consuming, old-fashioned and unnecessary (again, not to mention "expensive"!), when you look at the more modern alternatives - especially given that these days all the popular blogging software has "static page facilities" and can be used, very much more easily and without SBI's dramatic learning-curve, to make "non-blog websites" too.
My own opinion is that even a technophobic ignoramus like myself can make smart, professional websites these days, without needing to know anything about "HTML" and "CSS" and all that other stuff that just makes so many people's eyes glaze over.

I hear you - I did plenty of that, reading all those posts from professional internet marketers who were former users - posting obviously with no overt incentive and not trying to promote/sell anything different - urging their fellow-Warrior members to keep away for exactly the sorts of reasons I'm
trying (albeit necessarily vicariously) to recall here. But I'm glad it's working out for you.

Noooo, not at all - I'm just slow updating it. The only non-functioning links I'm
aware of are those to The Networking Marketing Forum, and that's just because the forum itself is offline at the moment for "maintenance" (I'm hoping it'll be up and running again, soon enough). But if you find any others there not working, do please let me know, if you can! As you can see, I don't sell or promote anything at all on my blog (and don't even give the name of my company) or have any affiliate links or anything like that: it's strictly "informational only", and I don't exactly update it regularly, either.
Thanks, and good wishes,
