It depends which side of the Atlantic you're on, I've been taught: in America, they don't use the word "orientated", but use the word "oriented" to cover the meanings of both "orientated" and "oriented" in British English. It's one of those many things apparently designed to catch out unsuspecting foreigners like me who assume that having learned "English" will cover us for both locations.
