My friend took her child to get vaccinated and requested mercury-free shots, too. The doctor assured her that the shots contained no mercury, but my friend insisted on reading the ingredients.
The doctor was shocked to see that the number one ingredient was themerosal which contains mercury.
There does appear to be a genetic predisposition to being injured by the inoculations, though I haven't read up on this in several years. At the time, I was hearing from parents how their perfectly normal child was fine before the shots, but immediately thereafter contracted autism.
