[QUOTE=Yuliya Mironova;2525949]Having a landing-page serves two main purposes:-
(ii) It enables you to build a list, which is where the real money is in affiliate marketing. The usual way people do that is by having an "opt-in" on whatever simple site/blog they use as their landing page, offering a free report in exchange for the potential customer's email address. You can then send autoresponder email out to the people on your list, which can dramatically increase the numbers of sales you get, especially if you keep the email content interesting and relevant and make people want to open and read them. You do need an autoresponder to do this, and it's a mistake to use a cheap one, because its "deliverability" may not be very good
Hi,
I'm in the process of creating a website for Moms and would love to have an opt-in list but am not sure how to do this?? If I created a report on say saving money, and put an option for people to request the report, does that automatically mean that I can send them emails regarding changes to my website without it being considered spam? Do I need to put something in writing stating that if they request the report that they will be opting in to future emails regarding changes to the site? Just a little confused?? I am promoting affiliate companies on my site and wouldn't want to lose my account with them due to people complaining about spamming. I would love to be able to send opt-in subscribers updates regarding sales that the affiliate companies are having, but I don't think that you are allowed to mention any company names in the email that are sent out to subscribers..which kind of stinks. But I must follow the rules.
Any info would be great!!
Thanks so much,
Melissa
