With prescriptions you will use whichever is cheaper for you. You won't be able to use both. However there are lots of prescriptions that insurance doesn't cover that you can get a discount on with Ameriplan. For instance we cover many Stop Smoking aids that Insurance companies don't cover. Also just recently I found out from a team member that BCBS is not covering Viagra and similiar Rxs but we do.
So in some instancesthe insurance is cheaper but a lot of times we are :-). You can search by prescription for prices at
