Places to find clients/work
Do you search online for clients and work? I have found that a lot of the job listing places for freelancers have paid memberships. I'm not really sure if it is worth signing up for any of them.

What are your favorite ways to find new clients?
I know there are more and more of use joining the virtual work force. I thought it would be nice to share some places, tips, and ideas for find new clients with newbies.
