When I taught in the regular classroom, I was also in charge of curriculum for the Language Arts compensatory education program. However, I moved from New Jersey to Arizona a few years ago, and I haven't had any luck with landing a teaching position with the exception of working for an online high school for two years. It was a great job for a while, but it started to consume too much of my time.
Online tutoring seems like a great gig for most, but I'm not too keen on it after my experience with online teaching. So for now, I'll just keep plugging along with scoring while I search for other options. I recently started typing for Quicktate for some extra pocket money, and I just took a test for a title proofer position with DS.
