CurlyJoe,

Please accept my apologies for my thoughtless comment. You are absolutely correct that not everyone who has no social skills is mentally ill. You are quite fortunate that your husband is happy to take his medication or do whatever he was advised to do in order to have a "normal" life. I have an ex-husband who was diagnosed as bi-polar along with a few other disorders but he preferred to drink in order to silence his speeding train thoughts, which, of course, did not work and never would. His moods DID, however, resemble those of a "lunatic." When he was UP, he was all over the place. When he was DOWN, he was evil and horrible, along with being quite irrational.

Again, I do apologize for insulting you and should have thought it through more carefully. It just seems that I was thrown back in time rather quickly and empathized with this situation, thus reacting before thinking.

So, yes, it is quite possible that this client is not mentally ill. It could very well be that she is just evil.
