God has recently led me to read Deuteronomy. It is a wonderful reminder that God will not leave his chosen ones alone. One thing I have memorized that may be helpful is :
Hear O Israel the Lord our God the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
I remember this : Love God First.
