I didn't say anything that isn't true. The writers aren't being paid very much money and they shouldn't have to be responsible for administrative costs. Even temp and employment agencies don't charge their workers - it's reflected in their clients' fees. If A&C are charging too many discounts and have too many expenses, they need to raise their rates, not charge their writers. It's not the writer's fault. This is terribly unfair.
Bottom line, do what you feel is best for you but you can get better, higher paying work without having to pay fees if you wish. Just don't let anyone convince you you can't do better.
