I'm sure they'll let you switch. I had tried the reindeer before the toe ring and I couldn't get it right. They had me send back the reindeer kit and try the toe ring instead.
NEC says the easiest ones for beginners are thetropical bird house, the magical lovebirds,thelittle drum, and any of the magnets.
