Hey everyone! How has everyone's weight loss journey been going? I know your all kicking butt!
I thought since today is my 7th whole day of taking Desert Burn Hoodia I would post how it is going with the Hoodia, the excersise, and watching what I eat. I will post my next weight loss on Thursday as I way weekly. Feel free everyone to share their experiences.
Well today is day 7 of taking Desert Burn Hoodia. I am very happy to report that this is still working EXTREMLY AWESOME! I am still taking two pills at a time twice daily. The times tend to be usually afternoon and evening when I take them, but I try to take them when I am really wanting to eat out of emotion, or when I am stark raving hungry so I can bump it down to only hungry, curbing my appetitite, or not hungry. I really love using this because I am seriously for the first time learning better eating habits, turning down sweets, and not feeling ravenous when I finally eat. I believe its important to distinguish hunger from other reasons for eating, but I dont want to approach my food so hungry or out of emotion that I eat. I am approaching my food now as needing to eat to live and choosing more healthier things.
Also still within thirty minutes of taking Desert Burns I can feel it work. I think twice am I really hungry? Am I bored? Do I need to eat at 12am in the morning or can that wait till morning? Like I said this pill makes me think. That is wonderful to me.
I excersised yesterday and today at the gym for a half hour on the treadmill, half hour on the elliptecal, and about a half hour with weights. Between the pills and doing this I am feeling more energy, less stressed, and yea Im sweating now! I am one of those people if im working out I love to sweat as weird as it sounds, makese me know im looseing that weight!LOL
With food I am eating alot of yogurt, chicken, fruits, and vegetables. I plan on making some vegetable soup next week. Thought that would be a great money saver and shed off the pounds too.
So hows everyone else doing? I hope really great! I know you can all do it!
P.S. If I start sounding to cheery please smack me!LOL I know we are all gonna have days were we want to rip somones heads off through this, so please let share that too.

Hello curious! Welcome to the weight loss boards! Even though I havent tried Metabolife myself, I have heard some about it though and a couple of friends who have used it and lost alot of weight as yourself, but I wonder is this the Metabolife that had Ephedra in it? I was wondering because when I did a search I came up with the 356 formula and it said it had Ephedra in it, but I know alot of companies have taken this out. From what I know Ephedra has been very dangerous, therefore not only because of this but many other reasons I believe Desert Burn Hoodia is better. With Desert Burn its not actually a diet pill its a pill from the cactus and its all natural. The only thing it contains is pure Hoodia powder and only a few other ingrediants that hold the capsules together. No harmful side effects. I don't weigh myself again to this Thursday, but I started on the 9th of this month with it and in one day lost 4 pounds. Thats without excersise. I'll get right to the point! Desert Burn is SCAM! As you all know, real hoodia works, this stuff doesn't! Don't waste your money on this crap, it's not real hoodia! They don't stand behind there guarantee plus they hide behind a private PO Box in Alaska!
I have used both SlimTron HGS (Hoodia Gordonii Succulent) & Pure Hoodia in the past and both products work great! I lost over 10 lbs using them. I only bought Desert Burn because I thought it was cheaper. Oh well live and learn! I'm now using Pure Hoodia Plus and it works Great!
Don't believe TheHoodiaReport because it's a SCAM and it is owned by Desert Burn.
Also Desert Burn is listed "Number One" on HoodiaScams.com Now I know why!

That's weird, because Desert Burn seems to be working for some people. I was tempted to buy it, if the green tea capules don't help me.

Hello Barbis! Nice to meet you! Desert Burn is working really great for me and for alot of others. I wouldnt be recommending something for these people if I didn't believe in it and if I thought it wouldnt benefit them. Also everyone is NOT going to have the same results. Everyone is build and made differently and what may work for 10 people may not work for 2. Desert Burn is working awesome for me and I plan on contunuing it. Alot of companies use PO Boxes, doesnt mean they are a scam. Cheers! Christina

Has anyone heard of Young Again Nutrients?
I purchased Hoodia from them and haven't noticed any effects.
I am trying Jamieson's Slimdown now You take one pill before you eat with water and one after. Anyone try this product before, I know it was certainly cheaper than the Hoodia, sadly that was a waste for me.

I am guessing Barbis did not read the entire page on the hoodiascams.com page becuase it has Dsert Burn on the top of the list as a better buy not the #1 scam which was what it seemed was being implied. Like someone else said everyone is different it may not work for everyone.I bought my first bottle last night.If it doesn't work for me I'll simply pass it on to a friend.

SO FAR THE LAB HAS REPORTED THAT IT IS SOME SORT OF EXTRACT BUT THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON THE EXACT MATERIAL THAT IT WAS EXTRACTED FROM. Really?What lab are you using?How much is it costing you to have this "testing" done?Maybe you could supply all of us with the name, address and phone number of this lab so that we may call and speak with them directly? I mean you could very well be affiliated with "Slim Tron HGS" and may simply be slamming a competitors product.

I don't mean to butt in, but I would like to know the results from the lab too and what lab it is, etc.
I don't take Hoodia and don't need to take it now due to some very hard work and sweating on my part (lost my after baby weight naturally after trying several weight loss pills), but I saw all the "hubbub" and so I went in search of the story that CBS did. It seems that the products claiming to have pure hoodia in them are false, that the hoodia is made synthetically, and only have about .1 to .01 of the amount of synthetic hoodia in them that the manufacturers are saying? I don't know for sure, but that's what I got from the story.
But I think if the Desert Burn is helping you, keep on using it if it is, in fact, all-natural. I mean why stop just because it doesn't help another person? I know TrimSpa has helped thousands of people, but didn't do a thing for me except make me feel like my hair was standing on end

Hello Ruby. The products are available, from what I know Hoodia has been available for the last year or two. I am taking the Desert Burn and it has been researched and tested. Okay, today is day 1 for me with Desert Burn. I am 5'8 and weighed in this morning at 164. My goal is around 135. So let's just say 30 pounds. I am using Desert Burn as an aid for eating healthier and exercising. I will keep everyone posted. I'll try to weigh just weekly, but sometimes that is a bit hard. I'll let you know as I go!

Hi all. I thought I would lend a helping hand. I've been reading up as much as I could on this Hoodia thing and found one product thus far. Hoodoba™ Pure. They post certified tests and also the complete ingredients of the product.
I went to alternate websites and even checked out what the other ingredients were on webmd. This, so far, seems to be the best way to go. It's more expensive than Desert Burn but I've read (on various sites) that any product offering more than 450 mg of Hoodia can not be pure Hoodia. Desert Burn has 750mg. Do they list the full ingredients? I'm becoming suspicious of this product.
I'm not trying to sway anyone from Desert Burn but I have spent the last two hours looking up sites and getting reviews. I even checked out those mentioned on this board (not too helpful as it all seems like a marketing ploy and too influenced by the latest Hoodia producers)
Also, they mention the 60min program on A LOT of these sites - 60 min did a documentary on Hoodia, NOT Desert Burn OR other specific products that claim to be the top producer of Hoodia.
I am going to continue my search will try to come back and let you know how it works out.

Here's what I've been learning:
Comparison sites like the Hoodia Report or any other site are used to sell supplements and not the result of any scientific study. Desert Burn Hoodia may contain 100% Hoodia, but it doesn't say how much of the pill contains 100% Hoodia and what percentage contains other stuff. It can be a very small percentage.
Many of the test posted by competing vendors are also done for the sake of advertising and don't offer conclusive scientific evidence.
Hoodia works, we know that much. Supplements however, may not. (They didn't work for me and many others.) The reason for this is that even though something contains "100% Hoodia" doesn't mean 100 percent of the pill is filled with 100% Hoodia. Therein lies the difference. Until scientists have narrowed down the molecule that makes Hoodia work, and until supplements are filled ONLY with Hoodia, and until the Hoodia plant is widely available for purchase, we will never see Hoodia products that are what they claim they are.

P.S. Also, as someone else stated, Hoodia was in fact reported about on 60 minutes. Hoodia suppletments, including Desert Burn were not.
I wish I had done more research before shelling out $30 bucks for supplements that didn't work for me.

Hello I really would appreciate your feed back on Desert Burn. I started taking H57 200mg of Hoodia on 4/2/05 and so far my appetite is slightly supressed but not at all what you describe with Desert Burn. I'm really concerned about the fact that maybe I didn't purchase the best and most potent product I really want to lose and I want to make sure that I'm starting out on the right foot instead of wasting time taking something that's not going to give me the results I'm looking for in the time I desire as well. So I'm ready to order Desert Burn if that the best out there. thanks alot!!

I know that Desert Burn did not have any effect on my husband, who took it faithfully for about two weeks. I didn't take it as faithfully, but the times I did take it, I didn't see much of a difference at all.
Anyone heard from 80's mama lately? Just wondering how she was doing with it.

I recently purchased Desert Burn Hoodia because of all the positive reviews people have posted here and I am very disappointed. This product did not work at all! It was a complete waste of money (almost $40) and I am going to try to get a refund. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but the people who speak the highest of this product also happen to sell it which I wish I would have noticed before throwing my money away.

Has anyone tried Hoodoba? I'm looking to try it; because if I don't find something that works I will be forced to have surgery. (lap-band) So I'm desperate to find something that works, and there is soooo much hype about this product and yet the legitimate articles I've read say that real hoodia isn't even available yet...
THis is a quote from a BBC article posted on the Desert burns site. I wrote to the company and asked them about it and have yet to hear from them....

Has anyone heard about the Brazilian Diet Pills, I was on another message board and everyone who is currently taking them say that the results are unbelievable. The weight falls off. And this is not just coming from one person that sounds like they're selling it. I posted a message asking where I could get some, one person said that she has a cleaning person that is from Brazil and she gets them for her and another person (who hasn't responded to my request yet) says she gets them from a store near her in Queens, NY. If anyone is familiar and has any info please share. thx

Hey guys. I sorry I have been missing and thank you for thinking about me. I noticed alot of post about the Desert Burn and like I said in my other post im really sorry for anyone its not working for. Where one thing will work for someone another may not. For those who are having success with it awesome! I am still having alot of success with it and yes I do sell it, but I agree if your not satisfied return it. If it dont work for you then why keep it around? I believe in this product and do take it and see results and thats why I sell it. wow, you have inspired me even more 80smama. Congrats on the weightloss. I just ordered my first bottle of Desert Burn today.Hopefully I get the same results as you. That would make extremely happy. I cannot stay my current weight forever. I just feel so uncomfortable around people. I was not meant to be this big. People say I look about 190 but I weigh 250. I really hope this works. So are you doing diet and excercise with the Desert Burn?

I just purchased Desert Burn today and cannot wait for it to arrive. I really hope that I get some of the same results that I have heard from others. I'm curious of the progress of other posters who had just started taking it at the time of their post.

barbis - you have no idea what you're talking about. all the links you gave say nothing bad about desert burn. i'm not a desert burn user but i've been researching a lot on hoodia since words started spreading that hoodia works in suppressing the appetite. desert burn is a member of the BBB and so far its rating has been satisfactory. desert burn is also known as one of the top hoodia supplier. i haven't heard anything bad. also i've read somewhere that you have to try the pill for at least 2 weeks before you see any effect. for some people it works right away and for others it takes time. check this review out: http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/desert_burn_hoodia_review.html
also, desert burn has passed all the tests required. check out the website to see the C.I.T.E.S. certificates and other certificates that prove the company's authenticity.

hi...i have been taking the hoodoba product and it works but their customer service is awful and they seem to be out of stock...i ordered desert burn because a doctor in the state i live endorses it; he is an ob/gyn and he even allows some preganat women take it so i guess it is safe...the staff in the doctor's office swear by it and the doctor endorses it personally...if you are interested in talking to them, thier info is on www.josephvarallomd.com

Well I really felt the need to post here because of the information that is so redily availible to everyone via the internet. It does not take a brain surgen to see that Desert Burn is a memeber of the Better Business Bureu and has not had one complaint about there product in 3 yrs. So that should tell you that this is not a scam in itself. google it.. I have not found any bad information about desert burn ANYWHERE!!! There are only a few of the real hoodia retailers avalible. Other's have extra ingredents in them such as green tea, caffine etc. This is the crap you should not waist your money on. Do some reasearch on the product you want to purchace again it don't take a brain surgen. If they were selling fake crap do you think they would still have credibility expecially with the BBB??? Expecially after 3 years in Business? Hope this helps you people that are afraid to try something that has helped so many people.

My head is still spinning from all the online research, reviews and posts. I made a final decision and ordered Desert Burn (juice) 3 bottles for $100. I feel very comfortable with my desision. I like those of you who are posting results, I will do the same. Many tell me I hold my weight well, but I don't like hold it anymore. Don't know when I'll receive my certified, bonified, testified hoodia product, but will let ya know!
I currently weight 250lbs at 5'8". I hope to lose 85lbs. Wish me luck as I wish you all the same.

Ok... First day on Desert Juice. Put 25 drops in a glass of water about 3 hours ago. Didn't taste very good, but I have to say I am not hungry. Normally all I have to do is think about food and I'm hungry. I did eat an orange cause I do believe that you need to eat 3 meals a day. I think this is going to work and I am very excited.
