Hi I have been searching for legitimate work at home jobs and came across a company called NHCD or national healthcare discount. You are pretty much providing leads and can work in different dept. such as sales and HR. But the catch is they require you to have a long distance business plan under your phone company or you can use theirs for $19.95 a month that is debited to your checking acount or credit card. Has anyone worked or is presently employed by this company that can tell if they are legite. Right now I'm doing housecleaning p/t to fit in my family schedule but business is slow and my husband has been sick so he's missed quite a bit of work. And it doesn't look good for the near future. I need to find something but we don't have the money to throw away on scams. Somebody help please.

This company is a scam, about a year and a half ago, I tried working for them. I paid a one time fee of $39 to put an access code on my phone line so they would get charged for the calls I made, well that was a rip off, turns out they could do it for free. They say that if you make a certain quota you will get your money back in 5 weeks. I never recieved my money back, and neither have several other people I have talked with. As far as working in different departments, that is misleading too. You will always have to make calls for leads, and it is cold calling. These people have not asked for information, you are just dialing random numbers that they give you. It is hard to get leads as well, because they might give you 200 numbers to call in a day, well you could spend 4 hours calling all those numbers, get 5 people that want call backs, and then maybe 1 of them will get the coverage from NHCD. So you only make the money for that one person who got the coverage. When I was working for them it was $3 a lead/sale. Even then it can take weeks, because you have to wait for the sales rep to talk with them and get a definate answer, and they keep the info posted on the site, so you can check and see if you get paid. I got paid about $100 from them over the course of 2 months, which is a total rip off. That was my personal experience with them, and everyone that I have talked to online that has tried working for them have been through similar things.

Stay away from NH*D!! The procedures for this company have changed a bit since some of the folks who've responded worked for them. For more updated info visit my blog at http://momsbuzz.com/blogs/barfbag1234/ then go to www.ripoffreport.com and do a search for NH*D. When you're done reading (it will take awhile) visit my website: http://mo.local.yahoo.biz/wahmhelpsite
I actually use them as an example of a bad work from home opportunity on that site.
There are plenty of good wah jobs out there--you don't need to waste your time with NH*D.

Thank you to everyone for the info. I had a feeling it was a scam I just wanted to be sure. Thanks again. I really do appreciate it. I did recieve an email from workathomeagents for a phone interview so I'm excited. This is a great site. I'm glad I found it.
